"the man and women at the front desk were amazing. they went above and beyond for us. we were in a car accident (rear ended) on our first day in Iceland (about 15 minutes from the cottages) and were very stuck as we couldn’t drive the car or make phone calls. we got in contact with them and they not only picked us up but moved us into a room in the main part of the building so that we could be close to the front desk to use their phones to make many calls back and forth to our car rental company....

"A lovely simple comfortable cottage with stunning views of the volcano and glacier, and views out to the sea. Bring binoculars we saw dolphins from the house. The cottage is warm and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The stairs are very steep so be aware of this for small children and older visitors. We had a fantastic time lots of walks close by a lovely bay a short walk away . It is quite an isolated location so bring food drink and entertainment if required. Be prepared to spend...

"This lovely place in Hellnar was a wonderful restful place to make our home base during a few days on the Snaefellsnes Peninsula. The cottage is lovely and clean and well-equipped. It was easy to explore the national park and there is a lovely hiking trail to the next town Arnarstappi. We cooked at home a few nights and had an amazing dinner at the local hotel (just a short walk down the road). Definitely would stay here again!"

"The stay we had was just what the doctor ordered. This was not a leisure trip, but my mom lives in Olafsvik, and not well. So we drove there daily during our stay. The cottage is very clean, and well equipped. Location was amazing!!"

"Beautiful home, overlooking the ocean. Black sand beach w sea sounds to soothe the soul, and seals swimming. Owners made sure bedding and staples like coffee were available. Management company was responsive to email request. It’s an historic home, interesting to read about it. Convenient to all of the sightseeing we were doing in Snaefellas Peninsula. Wish we could have stayed longer, it was so beautiful and peaceful. Thank you!"

"A wonderful place to stay. It was really a mini-cabin, with a kitchenette and a couch, plus a long bench on which to lay suitcases and stuff. Very clean and very well thought-out, with a Scando interior. Bath was ultra-modern. Quiet, bright, and with big windows and nice lighting. Best of all, we got to see the Northern Lights! Would definitely stay agaibn"
