The owners and staff are always very helpful. This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel as we had work to conduct in the area. The rooms are very comfortable, the kitchinets work great for what we needed! Thank you - we will stay here again next time!

Older decor but room was clean and comfortable hot water took a long time to warm up bright lights outside in parking area need blinds to pull down. But I would stay there again decent for the price.

There’s always a fine line between good and excellent and for a small town this was a good choice. I checked in late but it was no problem. The lady in the office was accommodating and efficient to get me checked in. It’s an older property as most of these small town motels are but I’m keen on supporting locally owned businesses. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable and I slept well. I wouldn’t let it stop me to stay in an older property. We need to support local businesses. I read all the reviews and wasn’t put off by the more negative ones. I sometimes think people have way too high expectations. I recommend this as a place to stop for the night and get a good rest. The town itself has few amenities but kapuskasing is under an hour before and Cochrane is 25 minutes. So try it out.

Old and outdated

Really outdated, tiles in bathroom shower looked ready to fall off the walls, holes everywhere in the room. Smell of cigerette in rooms. Doors had problems closing and opening. Walls are thin as paper was able to hear everything in the next room beside us. Beds were comfortable that was a plus. For paying over 200$ for two nights the i wouldn't go back unless they renovate.

Thermostat didn't work, just made the heaters growl at me when i tried to turn it up. One little baseboard was on a separate control so we had it cranked just to keep up, then in the morning we used the microwave and heard a pop, and then no power! Looked high and low for fuse box or breaker box but couldn't find one! I understand old hydro, but why have a microwave in the room if the hydro can't handle it?

Great location for snowmobiling from each day, heated shop to put the sled in at night, rooms are indeed of a full renovation, very dirty , dark and run down, but the price reflects this, they could charge alot more if they renovated.
