「We absolutely would recommend "The Lodge" as your base while visting Stanley.The lodge was beautifully decorated with a quirkiness which we loved.The sunroom with its big windows framed our water views.The viewing platform for seeing the penguins at dusk was just a quick 5 minute stroll from "The Lodge" and we were able to walk around most of the quaint town and explore all its eateries and shops.」

「This was a very lovely house, comfortable, clean and well kept. The location amongst the trees is delightful. Very quiet and relaxing. Our only negative was the shower head - two of us found it quite painful (literally) to stand under. Everything else was wonderful.」

「Uninterrupted views of the ocean. Loved the barrel fire pot on the veranda. Didn't need it, but just lovely to be out there. Great place for an extended family to hang out, beachcombing, fishing or just sitting with a wine and a good book. Its got it all, and all the things you need if the weather gets wild and woolly.....didn't happen in our case. 」

「This is a spectacular and stunningly comfortable home in a stunning garden in a lush wildlifey forest which epitomises Australia. You'll struggle to find time for the tourist attractions. Just be comfy with log fires, plush furniture and a fern forest garden with pure freshwater creeks with yabbies, wallabies and birdlife you'd seldom see. Claire - the host - will show you round and then chat or vanish as needed but it's her home, she built it, and knows heaps.」
