Our family of 6 spent 3 nights here and were not at all impressed with the state of the property.
The previous occupants left dog poo throughout the backyard and a large bag full of dog poo sitting at the back door that we had to dispose of.
This was nothing however compared to the interior. This house is full of mould.
There is a large patch of it on the garage ceiling (along with what appears to be significant water damage) it is also growing on the front door, over all of the window frames and blinds and some of the door frames. The smell was so overwhelming and unpleasant, and we were so concerned about the health risks of staying in such a mouldy environment that we kept all of the windows open for the entire duration of our stay (which was not at all practical or convenient given the very cold outside temperatures)
I emailed the agents on our second day there to let them know and sent photos of all the mould but disappointingly, 3 days later, I am still yet to receive a reply.
On top of this, the dishes were not washed properly, the bunk beds are not stable and the upstairs television frequently loses reception.
It’s also worth noting that you cannot get 4G reception inside the house.
The only redeeming feature of this house is its location. It is an easy 2 minute walk to Smiths Beach, which would be ideal during summer when getting a car park is a nightmare.
The location alone however does not justify the $300+ per night that we paid for our stay.
We feel it was overpriced for the poor condition of the house and would not return.
