"Room hadn't been cleaned properly, possibly, actually the worst check in experience ever, by the rudest, most obnoxious woman I've ever met. Spoilt our stay. The hotel was ok, shame the room wasn't maintained during our stay, clean towels etc, but the staff were not nice. Never stay there again."

"Overall, I enjoyed my stay. The in room amenities were a bit mixed. Great complimentary coffee but modest bathroom amenities. One bottle for all body soap, shampoo in one. Not bad but not any wow. Food at restaurant on 17 was pretty good. Had fennel soup that was over the moon good. Breakfast buffet was impressive, tasty and well thought out, right until it gave me a dose of food poisoning on my last day. Only downside of my stay. "

"Our stay at Holiday Inn Express Amsterdam – Sloterdijk Station was, once again, absolutely fantastic! We stayed from March 18–30 and returned again from April 3–7, and each visit was just as wonderful as the last. From the moment we arrived, our check-in with Tanya was smooth and welcoming, setting the tone for a great stay. A very special thank you to Jalil Steel, the General Manager, who truly went above and beyond to ensure every detail of our stay was perfect. Because we stayed for an extended time, we had the pleasure of getting to know many of the staff. We would like to sincerely thank Giovanni, Tanya, Sava, Sara, Sunashanna, Ronel, Romy, and Elena, along with the amazing cleaning and breakfast teams. Everyone worked together so seamlessly—it really felt like one big team dedicated to making guests feel at home. Our room was always quiet, clean, and comfortable. We especially enjoyed the daily evening happy hour, which gave us the chance to connect with both staff and other guests. A highlight of our stay was celebrating my 55th birthday at the hotel. The team truly went above and beyond—with wine, flowers, gifts, and even a birthday cake. They made my day incredibly special and unforgettable. This was our sixth time staying here, and it certainly won’t be our last. Thank you all again for your hard work, kindness, and for always going the extra mile to make our holidays so memorable. We can’t wait to return!"

"Air conditioning not working, room was full of cobwebs and stank of mold! Mattress was thin and extremely uncomfortable! Noisy wasn't the word for this hotel didn't sleep all weekend, staff rude and very unhelpful no electricity on arrival had to use touch on my phone to see where we were going! Would have asked for a full refund if anyone was working on reception! Breakfast is a complete waste of time save your money "

"Stayed here for a week, kitchen was equipped with pots, pans, utensils, silverware, and also had a dishwasher. Very close (5min walk) from Sloterdijk Station so easy to get to central Amsterdam or anywhere you may need to go! Staff was friendly and helpful. One thing I'd recommend is bringing shampoo/conditioner as the one provided is a shampoo and bodywash combo. "

"WHAT a ridiculous place all together - when we walked in the Tamara the floor manager was talking to a person whom we thought was a customer waiting to check-in, It was not! She was casually visiting a friend. After about 15 minutes, she finally acknowledged us. No one greeted us and no one let us know that they would be with us shortly. The ROOM itself was absolutely ridiculous! We think it may have been a broom closet made into a room. One big bed adjacent to the walls. The only way to get in bed was to jump on it. NO desk, no shelves, no chairs, no hooks and NO WINDOWS. The best thing that happened was that the floor manager found us another place to stay - but mind you, this was after telling us that she was not on DUTY and could not help us?????? then why are you here TAMARA? Then she decided to lay a guilt trip on us for being a bit impatient with the circumstances. THE MOST HORRIBLE PLACE AND PEOPLE. We had been told my EMAIL that the room had shelves so that my husband's sleeping mask has plenty of room to fit the MASK ON. No such thing. We were informed that the guy, the employee that answered our concerns had been conveniently fired! We want A FULL REFUND!!!!!!!"
