Good proximity to everything in Iceland but very noisy. Live music was playing in a bar next door until late hours. I was traveling with a child and the music kept both of us awake. Also, one bathroom/shower shared between 4 rooms is not sufficient. Someone was using it every time we needed it. The furnishings are outdated but reasonably clean.

Everything went smoothly. There was a bakery on the first floor, so I could buy bread without even going outside.

Fabulous time spent in Iceland and this hotel and it's staff were very helpful and caring!

We found this stay just adequate. Reykjavik is an expensive city for travelers and we saved a bit by staying here. The location was fair but farther from a bus stop, shops, or restaurants than we would like. The market on Skipholt street opens at 10. Early arrival was difficult, with no good place to rest. Luggage storage was self-service. The lobby area felt unfinished and without comfortable seating. Rooms were a bit cramped and lacking in basics like bedside tables. Euro electrical outlets and no USB (A store across the street sold adapters for those that forget). Bathrooms were awkwardly designed. Beds were fairly comfortable, though. There is no regular staff on site with messages only. Sometimes we found responses to be unhelpful. Finding breakfast was challenging - plan ahead. This property works best for those that are on a budget, like to self manage, like to be away from busyness and like to walk quite a bit.
