"Old hotel with a lot of history and character. 150 years old approx, but celebrated 100 years in July of current name. Not for everyone, but lots of charm, in a fun little downtown area. Staff were great, rooms are "old fashioned" (even keys for the doors). But fun nostalgia"

"Desk staff was excellent and got us into our room early which was greatly appreciated. Location is close to downtown and all the shops and restaurants. The room was spacious, very clean and the larger style refrigerator came in handy. Will continue to stay at the Sherwood every time we stay in Wellsboro. Also the most reasonably price room in the area."

"The cottage was very appealing. There was an above average supply of cooking gear and dishes. The backyard in particular was very appealing with a firepit, swings and plenty of room to enjoy the view. The hostess answered questions and made good suggestions for things to do."
