I gave this listing one star not because it was terrible. We, in fact, did not stay there. On the day we were to arrive the air quality was 'very unhealthy' and the community was on an a 'Ready' alert for evacuation. The Akawa Butte fire was five miles north and was now the priority resource fire in the country. The second day we would have been there, they evacuated two thousand residents. We decided the last thing this community needed was two more tourists to suck up valuable resources in their emergency efforts. So we notified the owner we would not be arriving. This owner/manager/operator was unaffected by the emergency and I would assume not from the community. Even after notifying them we would not be arriving, they continued to send welcome notices, etc.I get this is a business, but to be that out of touch in an emergency situation is unconscionable.
