"My pup and I had a lovely stay here. The unit is up to date (especially compared to a lot of the other vacation rentals in town) with comfy beds / linens. The kitchen is well equipped and the main area has great light for reading / working / hanging out inside. Cement St. is much quieter than Greene / Empire (an important feature when you have the windows open), and the little park by the confluence of Cement Creek & The Animas was a great spot to walk the dog. "This is a charming little cabin with updated amenities. Shawn and Sarah are attentive to guests needs, providing a very comfy bed, precut firewood for campfires, barbecue grill, fish food for the stocked pond, etc. We went up for the Father's Day weekend, fished in the creek, paddled the canoes on the pond, fed the fish, relaxed in the hottub and by the campfire and never left the property! If I had to give a negative, I would prefer the cabin was a little more secluded, but that's just me:)"

"Property has a nice appearance, but there were several issues with the property and were conveyed to the manager. The last day was very aggravating. We advised the property manager of an issue and the last day workers arrived to work on the roof. All we heard was loud banging and drilling. Very annoying when you're trying to relax after skiing."

Unlimited outdoor activities are nearby including Ouray hot springs. Amenities were excellent, nothing lacking. The property manager was exceptional when responding to a locked door problem. She took immediate action. I couldn’t fit my pickup in the garage as the owner was using more than half the depth of the garage for storage. We wish there were grab handles in...

"This place was exactly as advertised, and was in a perfect location. The hot springs, park & playground, and Uncompahgre River are literally right out the front door. The base of the perimeter trail is directly across the street. The walk into downtown is less than five minutes. Depending on your plans you can just park your car in front of the garage and never drive again the rest of your trip because everything you need is a short walk away. This place made a lot more sense for a family stay...
