Tombstone Monument Guest Ranch
3.0 star property
9.6 out of 10, Exceptional, (1000)
"We loved this ranch. The breakfast was great. The room and beds are very comfortable. But it is a real ranch with horses and cattle in semi-desert location, so it is rustic, and it gets dusty. We liked the rustic, historic design of the buildings, but dust was a problem for me due to my allergies to dust and mold. Besides this one problem of my own, this ranch was wonderful, horses are well taken care for, and they offer variety of horseback rides. I definitely recommend this ranch!"

"One complaint was our inability to be given a ground floor room in this building. We are in our 80's and there was no elevator. It was hard to carry our stuff up the stairs. The next day the manager explained that we had bought a category of room that was restricted to the upstairs and suggested that in future we explicitly request ground floor accommodations. In addition we were not provided with bath or dish soap, cloths to wash and wipe the dishes, or sufficient utensils. On the plus side...

"Prompt check-in at front desk. Room was cleaned, bed made, and towels changed daily, without having to ask. Refrigerator, microwave, and a/c unit worked fine. Bed mattress was sufficiently comfortable. Shower water was always hot and good pressure. Parking lot was well paved and felt secure enough. Needed to air out room after cleaning odors. A few small critters occasionally seen in bathroom. Some guests may find the room small and/or cramped, but hotel is on the main street with access to...
