This resort was great in almost every way. The walk into town is not long but dodgy as sidewalks are often missing or blocked by something. Our only suggestion is to heat the pool. As the pool is located in a shady area, it was too cool for us to spend as much time in as we hoped.

THE IDEAL STAY! Marida and the rest of the staff were extremely accommodating! From the welcome drinks and snacks, lovely breakfast, easy to book massages, and easy accessibility to pub street and other restaurants, you cannot go wrong staying at the golden temple retreat!

the hotel was well located - 10 min walk to pub street but best of all, it was new but a traditional design with wonderful helpful staff. The breakfast was always good while their amok curry at dinner was delicious. Nice pool and good sized rooms. The hotel were good enough to pick up/ drop off at the new airport as well as arrange all our excursions. It really was a stress free holiday. All the staff were amazing (there is a gratuity box - please use it) but special shout outs to Sofia from front desk, Heng Sinnet the excursion guide and Noy our driver

I was pleasantly surprised by the amenities of this hotel. Big spacious room with large bathroom and a massive bathtub. Has a large long pool to cool down at the end of the day. All the staff were so nice, friendly and super helpful. It’s a shame we could only stay for 3 days but if we ever come back to Siem Reap, this is the only place to stay

The staff were very friendly and helpful and organising tours via the front desk was easy. Food was tasty and the packed lunch particularly good. Spa treatment were good too with one free massage included. It was very hot when we were there and the air con was not quite strong enough, but we were able to borrow a fan. The tv had Netflix etc, but not regular tv channels.

Fabulous stay in Siem Reap
They hype is real -- the Golden Temple Retreat is an absolute gem in Siem Reap. The staff make every effort to learn your name and give you highly personalized attention, so that you feel attended to and cared for at all times throughout your stay. Our room was very nice, and the hotel itself and pool are lovely. The location is ideal as it is only a short walk to the Pub Street area and other restaurants/nightlife/market areas. Highly recommend!

We have just spent two weeks at The Golden Temple Retreat. The hotel is beautiful calm and relaxing. The pool is wonderful and totally refreshing after a day exploring the temples and city. The hotel is in a great place just a short walk from the market and pub street without being too close. Our room was beautiful, clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious with beautiful sweet fruits and a wide selection of food for everyone. The omelettes were divine. The dinner and lunch menu was good and cooked beautifully. I definitely recommend a massage in the spar. We both had the traditional Khmer massage which was wonderful, and very discreet as we were given a pair of pyjamas to wear throughout the massage, which I totally appreciated. I just wish I hadn’t left it until the day before we were leaving before having it because I felt so comfortable that I would have had a few more. We can’t thank all of the staff enough for the wonderful hospitality and welcoming us to the hotel and making us feel at home. We would especially like to thank Sopheak, Tong, Marida and Mon, for their help and friendship throughout our stay. We really had the best time here. I have never felt so welcome or comfortable as I did at this hotel and in Cambodia ️

Golden Temple Retreat is just that -- a quite, well-staffed retreat in the middle of Siem Reap. We absolutely loved this place. The only negative was some struggle to make the AC work, but the staff was very attentive to our needs and took care of the problem.

The staff we’re very nice. A massage for 2 people is included in your rate and a very nice 3 course lunch as well as return transfers to the airport. They are seriously understaffed so events like happy hour are non existent even though advertised etc. I would rate this at a higher rate but it is seriously overpriced for what you get and the level of service. We paid way too much per night. it is around a $100-120 night experience.

Everything we hoped for and more at this lovely boutique hotel. Extremely friendly and attentive staff always available to assist. The room was spacious, beautifully decorated and spotless. Every night they brought in a snack. Breakfast was buffet style with International and Khmer options. I highly recommend this hotel.

There are many great things about this property. What standout most is the level of customer service at the hotel. The staff are very engaging and genuinely committed to ensure guests have a comfortable and pleasant stay. They always provided a warm welcome when we entered the lobby, greeting us by name, offering cold towels to refresh ourselves. This degree of care is evident at all levels of seniority. The hotel manager is actively interested in guests and personally involves himself in assessing the guests experience, attentive to small details of comfort and service. I cannot speak highly enough of the warmness, friendliness and professionalism of the staff. True masters in quality service. The property itself is charming, relaxing, with lush decorations and charm. The restaurant provides rich variety, entertainment. The rooms are very comfortable with unique decor that is truly spectacular.

Exceptional Hotel Experience
This was our second time staying at The Golden Temple Retreat. Our experience exceeded our expectations starting with the airport pickup all the way through check-in and our room. All hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet offered so many choices, and the breakfast takeaway option for sunrise was a nice option.The spa was just what we needed as our visit wound down.

Customer service was unbelievable. One of the best Asian hotel we have ever stayed in. You only need to ask and within minutes, someone is there to offer assistance. Especially the manager, who remembered my name and made sure our transfer to the airport was smooth. We’ve never had a manager wave to us as we we’re leaving. We loved our stay at Golden Temple. ALL of the staff were exceptional and took such good care of us. One day my son was sick and stayed behind at the hotel. They checked in on him all day long and were so helpful. The property is beautiful and allows you to step out into the heart of Siem Reap. The spa is beautiful and well run. The evening happy hour is really nice and the accommodations are beautiful. I cannot say enough about this property and the staff.

Great small hotel in the heart of Siem Reap
Service is great, the entire staff knows your name and greets you by the second day. Close to downtown market, restaurants and bars. We signed up for the private two day tour of temples, which was well worth the price. Would Definitely stay there again!

We really enjoyed our room which was on the main floor and right by the pool. We would step outside our door and be greeted by the mini waterfall cascading over the bar ...just a few steps brought us to a lounge chair where we relaxed comfortably for hours. The staff were incredibly attentive - making sure we were well fed and hydrated. My boyfriend and I are both vegetarian and the staff made sure to accommodate us accordingly. The buffet in the morning was extensive and delicious. The lunch and dinner courses were presented to us in beautiful Cambodian cutlery. Meanwhile, dinner was accompanied by friendly staff and a “cultural dance show.” The staff made our stay incredibly memorable with their class & hospitality - both at the front desk and at the spa. We particularly really enjoyed getting to know Lee at the front desk - who brought smiles to our faces every time we saw him! The tour driver organized by our hotel was also very professional and pleasant to be around. The snacks that greeted us at every turn was such a lovely surprise and we loved our short but meaningful visit at the Golden Temple Palace.

This hotel was a pleasant surprise for my wife and I. For our first trip to Cambodia, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The airport pickup and drop off was excellent...nice comfy SUV and a cool coconut drink to welcome us when we arrived. The hotel itself was small but had a unique design. Rooms were clean and spacious and my wife enjoyed the body scrub products provided. Best part had to be the staff who answered our questions and even helped arranged the temple tours for us. Highly recommended!

The Golden Temple Retreat is amazing in every way. The young lady who picked us up from the airport was one of the nicest people I've ever met. She gave us a lot of information about the area and the history of Siem Reap as we were driven from the airport to the retreat (this was a free service and included in the price of the room). She gave us cold drinks, cold towels and a karma (scarf that is worn by many people in the area). The hotel room had incredible views of the pool and the lovely grounds. The welcome included free traditional food served on a silver tray in silver challis. The iced tea drink was especially refreshing. The breakfast that was included every morning was great and the free message was the best message we had while traveling through Vietnam, Thailand, and Cambodia. The pool was sparkling and refreshing after a day in the Cambodian heat. Every time we came back to the hotel they were waiting with cold drinks and cold towels. Our stay was one will always remember, everything you could ask for and more!

Overall an excellent hotel! You can feel the hospitality from the moment you arrive in siem reap and the staff is already waiting for you. The staff at the front desk and canteen are extremely polite. Rooms are new and clean. The best part is the food. Both my girlfriend and I think it worth a Michelin star.

The staff are so kind and welcoming. I loved my stay here and would recommend it to friends and family. Great location and wonderful ameneties and services included (Massage, airport pick up and drop off). Make sure to go to the SPA the ladies are great and will leave you feeling refreshed.

Very nice, enjoyed my 3 night stay
The hotel is gorgeous with great rooms, the staff were amazing helping to arrange tours and allowed late check out then access to showers until a later flight, pool is lovely but limited spaces so go for a ground floor room if you can, overall a really nice experience well worth a visit
