The property was beautiful and the interior was in the Moroccan style. We were put in a basement room without windows which was not clear when booking. We spent very little time in the room so it wasn’t the end of the world but it did feel like a cell. The staff were lovely though and the place was clean throughout. The gardens needed tending but the pool was clean. It was a half hour walk into the middle of Marrakech which we did and also took taxis when it was too hot. I’d stay there again but with a room with a window please!!

We don’t rate hotels very frequently, but we felt we must because Riad No 5 is an outstanding property with extremely helpful staff. It was our first visit to Marrakech, and Imad and team made us feel very welcome. It is conveniently located within the Medina, not too far from Jmaa El Fna and all the other main sights. The property is air conditioned, impeccably clean, tastefully decorated throughout, with really thoughtful touches everywhere (artwork, tiling, furniture). The breakfast is incredible! And finally, the rooftop pool is a beautiful bonus helping tourists like us escape from the midday heat.

Couldn’t beat the location of this hotel- right in the Medina with a very short walk to the souks. The property, while a bit aged, was very nice. The rooms were large and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom especially shows its aged but great water pressure and sufficiently sized. The property has a large pool but you best get there really early because the other guests “reserve” all the chairs and then leave for hours. The staff was very friendly and really love their country. They go out of the way to be helpful. We found that the bar staff was not as friendly or helpful until we tipped and then they couldn’t do enough for us.

Amazing spot for staying out of the medina, very close to the airport and breakfast was just wonderful! Also very nice area around with a shopping centre close to Menara gardens
