Our stay here was wonderful—the staff, the food, the onsen and of course the arrangement of the temple activities. If you are going to Eihiji I highly recommend a stay here.

The amenities were truly excellent--free tea/coffee, yogurt drink (in morning), popsicles (afternoon/evening), soba noodles (late night snack). The onsen was also very nice. The room was excellent overall, although the room I was in had some sort of pungent odor that was not from the tatami or anything readily visible.

Maybe Ono castle was a bad idea on this day.

今日大野城へ行きました. 悪い一案だたと思うかも…

Ono Castle is famous for the "Castle in the Sky" campaign since it is on top of the mountain surrounded by mist giving it the appearance of flying but its just as beautiful surrounded in snow. Don't step off the path though. That's obviously a bad idea.
