We had a group of six adults, & this property was great! The upstairs loft does have a shorter shower head due to the sloped ceiling, but we were told about this in advance. With 3 couples, we pushed the twin beds together in the upstairs room & used the pullout couch along with the master bedroom. There were plenty of supplies at the property (towels, beach towels, beach chairs, soft-sided cooler, kitchen supplies, etc.) & having in-house laundry was amazing. The ice maker was a little slower than our Wisconsin alcohol consumption, but the location is very close to a gas station for ice. Also Fosters grocery store is very nice. Bring your own bags if you don’t want to pay for bags. Note the exchange rate so you’re not surprised when the USD charge is higher.
The beach was very nice, & we were happy to have seen a tip to bring water shoes. It gets rocky immediately when getting into the ocean on this stretch of beach. Some properties in this area have no beach, so we were very happy to have a beachfront yet (storms a few years ago displaced a lot of sand). With lots of public beach access, you can also walk north on West Bay Road for maybe 1/2 mile where it’s much less rocky in the water. The island is very safe, so walking is not an issue. We also walked to nearby restaurants.
The property has a nice front & back patio, & we also used the grill by the pool (buy charcoal).
The host was very responsive & easy to work with. I would definitely stay here again.
