This was our first trip to Grand Cayman, and we were happy that we chose this location. Having the lagoon surrounded by seawall was very helpful with small kids, elderly, or people who don't swim well, especially on the days when wind came from the West direction. The condo allows up to 7 people, which was also something that we originally needed, and there weren't other options directly on the 7 mile beach that allowed that. We were hoping that the beach in front of the complex would be continuous sand going North, but there were small sections that were rocky or wading in the water was needed (can be bypassed from West Bay Road, and going through public beach access at Marriott), but the availability of the lagoon was the unbeatable plus, and not available at any other beach that we saw (and we drove around the island one day). There is naturally shaded spot by the trees on the left side of the beach, more shady area than what the umbrellas can provide. Condo was well stocked with all the essentials, beach toys, swimming noodles, as well as any appliance one would need in the kitchen. If the guests are not picky about brand of toiletries etc - just pack toothbrush, toothpaste, and deodorant, and you are all set. A tip about the two bedrooms - the larger one tends to get cooler than the smaller one - so someone's temperature preference can be taken into account when deciding who stays in which room...
