Room was a little small for the price we’d paid. My husband and I had to squeeze around one another (room 308). The views of bay of silence were lovely and the bed was comfy. Good selection for the breakfast and nice to be able to sit outside al fresco for breakfast with lovely views. The inside restaurant was also beautiful and had amazing views. The pool area was great, pool staff very attentive. Again lovely views from the pool area. There’s a side gate from the pool area down to the town which is a shortcut 5-7 min walk. You cannot take their beach towels to the beach, you have to pay €5 per day for special towels, which we felt was poor considering how much we had paid for the room. Drinks prices a little high, a Mocktail was €15 and a bottle of beer €9. Slightly disappointing on the checkout we asked if we could use their shuttle to go to the train station with our luggage, they never told us there was a fee for this service, so we’d assumed it was complimentary (as a lot of hotels offer a free shuttle). However it was €15 euros to go 5 mins down the road and the driver didn’t have any change, so we ended up paying €20. So we felt rather ripped off with that experience. Overall a nice hotel, but don’t feel it was worth what we paid

Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit – leider war das auch schon das einzig Positive. Die Standardzimmer sind winzig, abgewohnt und mit durchgelegener Matratze, sodass wir kaum schlafen konnten. Das Frühstück ist lieblos, wird nicht nachgefüllt und bietet kaum Auswahl (Rührei ständig leer, Käse/Wurst sehr begrenzt). Tischdecken bis zum Boden wirkten unhygienisch. Außerdem kostet im Hotel wirklich alles extra: Strandhandtücher 5 €, Parkplatz 15 €/Tag, Sauna 20–30 € für 30 Minuten. Positiv war die Lage: alles ist bequem zu Fuß erreichbar.

We had the best week at Vis a Vis for our honeymoon. We cannot recommend it highly enough! Incredible location with views breathtaking views that you can’t even imagine. The staff were so friendly and went above and beyond, especially the Restaurant Olimpo staff. We highly recommend booking a room with a balcony or terrace and ordering the room service breakfast. Very accessible to private and public beaches, a very quick walk. The hotel can help you reserve chairs at a beach club or you can go to the public I beach if you want. We can’t wait to go back!

Exceptional staff, could not have been friendlier or more professional. Not a detail missed - even offering to make a breakfast box as I was catching a 7am train into C5 and thus missing the (spectacular) breakfast buffet. Room was lovely, everything worked and their designer clearly thought every detail through. Veranda was a real treat and gave a wonderful sense of space (all rooms have great views). Rooftop bar was amazing to watch the sunset over an aperitif/light food. “Destination” restaurant on the 4th floor has gourmet food and set menus if you’re looking for something really special - other options are available (although I might just stay on the rooftop!). Management clearly has inculcated the staff with an exceptional sense of service and care - you can sense if from the amazing front desk staff, restaurant service, ground keepers, house maids, towel service at the pool. Thrilled to have made this choice for access to, and to soak in, the Portofino coast and C5 area.
Room 203 (standard double). Peaked into Room 204 which is bigger and has a separate twin bed area alongside the larger space. Big veranda too!

From my chair at the rooftop bar - great place to relax after being picked up from the station from the ever smiling Francesco (train was late, he was waiting with a smile, gave me a tour and made sure I could get something to eat @10:15 if needed).

The location and beauty of Vis a Vis is 10/10. Sestri is such a charming oittle fishing town and the hotel sits atop the hill perfectly overlooking the water. Very clean space however the pool vacuum is alwahs running during the day making it a bit difficult to enjoy that space with the cord running across the pool. Breakfast from the panoramic restaurant was also a great start to the day. We didn't have a chance to have dinner there though - next time for sure.

Schöne Aussicht. Zimmer hatte grosse Terrasse. Die Lüftung im Bad hat nicht gut funktioniert, das Bad war auch ultra klein und der Abfluss verstopft. Die Velos vom Hotel sind zwar gratis, aber in einem schlechten Zustand (Bremsen haben kaum funktioniert und der eine Lenker war schräg). Der Gang zum Eingang hat stark gemieft und das Putzmittel welches verwendet wurde, war intensiv. Das Essen (Morgenbuffet) war top!!

Vi kommer tilbake!

Vi ble veldig godt mottatt av resepsjonen og vi fikk veldig god informasjon om hotellet og Sestri Levante. Bagasjen ble plukket opp av concierge og bilen ble parkert for oss. (Heldigvis for oss for parkering er litt utfordrende på stedet). Resepsjonisten tok oss med på en rundtur på hotellet for å vise alt fra basseng til restaurant og andre tilbud der vi tilslutt endte opp ved rommet vårt. Vi fikk tips om å reservere bord ved restauranten når solen gikk ned. Vi reserverte bord og fikk med oss solnedgangen og den fantastiske panorama utsikten, den er ikke til å gå glipp av. Utsikten fra rommet var veldig bra og vi hadde balkong. Hotellet har privat strand hvor det koster €40 pr person, men du får seng, håndkle og parasoll. Det var nydelig med ingen store folkemasser ved stranden. Det eneste som var å utsette var at vi hørte lyder fra kjøkkenet til restauranten på rommet og at vi ikke følte at air conditionen ble kald nok.

Hotel Vis-a-Vis is in a lovely location overlooking and walkable to Sestre Levante and its beaches. Hotel staff are helpful and courteous. The pool area is lovely. One downside is no irons are available (even to borrow from the front desk), which is something I have never experienced in a hotel. The hotel could also consider changing room keys to modern key cards versus clunky room keys, which are difficult to carry around, and making on-site parking free (versus EUR 15/night).
