Unique, quirky, ancient building. Excellent restaurant (not open in August). Comfortable and relaxing. The only improvement one could wish for is a kettle in the room and minimal tea/coffee amenities, but that's not typical of traditional Italian hotels. In any case, the continental buffet is great and included in the rate.

Hotel felt a little shabby and in need of renovation. The walls between the rooms are paper thin so take earplugs. There were two front desk staff - one was nice and helpful, the other not. Location is very convenient and easy walking to the center of town. Breakfast is not great.

Beautiful setting. Upgraded to a lovely old cottage - large room, direct access to garden, elegant decor, big bathroom , first rate a/c.
Excellent poolside restaurant, quality breakfast in sunken grotto.
Secure underground onsite parking.
Only minus was lack of lighting in room - only 2 bedside lights - other main light switched off after a few seconds, no way to keep it on.

We stayed for 3 nights in June. The beds are very comfortable, the rooms are clean and the staff helpful and friendly. It's very well situated, only yards from the main square and a wonderful indoor food market. I'd recommend it.
