Vacancéole - Résidence La Dune

8/10 Good

"LOCATION Proximity to beach: 15 min walk. Proximity to line 11 bus stop ("Élysée"): 10 min walk. The line 11 bus is the hidden gem of this location: 1 stop to "Casino" - Location of "Carrefour City" shop, start of the magnificent "Boulevard Jean Moulin" along the sea and location of a few excellent restaurants like "L'o de vie" (sea food, brilliant fish soup. Like Bouillabaisse but with local fish according to season) or "Les Jours Heureux". The Centre of Valras-Plage is about 7 stops away (bus stop "Autogare"). Walk down to the beach and find streets full of restaurants and shops. Bus line 11 eventually goes to the centre of Beziers (population 81,000) - about a 50 min ride. Line 11 also takes you to bigger shops like "Lidl" and "Carrefour" about 12 stops away. Buy an electronic booklet of 10 tickets - valid 1 hour each - for 6 Euros at the "Tabac Le Grand Large" 5 min up the road from the Hotel. 1 € for the rechargeable card itself, and Beziers, Valras-Plage and other municipalities in between are your oyster. ACCOMMODATION Comfortable and functional with an usable set of pots, pans, plates for home cooking. In the appartement to which I was upgraded from the studio I had booked the bed was big and firm, the balcony was generously sized as the appartement itself. HOW TO GET THERE Ryanair has regular flights in season to Beziers/Cap D'Adge - but I will not use them any more. Stansted is overcrowded, security check in Beziers is awful and UK ATC is unreliable.Future Train/Bus"

Magnificent architect designed villa for a quiet holiday near the sea ...

10/10 Excellent

Villa Selva, Beach 500 m Away

10/10 Excellent

Bright, cozy, air-conditioned, family Apt. 80M2, 3 bedrooms, private garage

10/10 Excellent

For pleasant and enriching holidays between sea and mountains

10/10 Excellent

"Lovely detached house in quite street but a pleasant fifteen minutes walk to town centre. Good base for exploring wider area - Sette, Narbonne, Bezier and Montpellier. Easy to reach small seaside resorts. Town also has a large Carrefour. Car recommended."

Résidence les Caraibes

10/10 Excellent

"After a week of driving from city to city, I needed a break, and this was the perfect solution. Parking onsite, a Carrefour around the corner, a pool, and a lovely garden below the balcony. There are, of course, idiosyncrasies: they (understandably) don‘t provide towels, lest you take them to Valras Plage; no maid service (you need to sweep and mop up after yourself). But the peace and quiet and lovely surroundings made this a highlight of us trip. I can‘t praise this property enough."
