this is a fantastic choice if you’re looking to stay in zurich city centre!! really it’s the best location for walking around some of the city’s most famous streets, including the shopping ones! the hotel itself is in a lovely little square and looks very picturesque from the outside, with the shutters and beautiful pastel coloured buildings. the area around it feels safe, even when i went out on walks by myself as a young woman, and the square next door has a lovely looking greek restaurant and japanese restaurant not so far away! also close to the river ☺️ the staff were helpful and always friendly and the rooms are decorated in a lovely way and the views outside the windows are bery picteresque yet again! such an amazing location, style and efficieny of a hotel and i recommend staying here !

Spacious room with comfortable bed. Kettle provided and water in the fridge. Walk from Zurich HB was approximately 25 minutes, on the flat. Plenty of buses and trams close by but we preferred to walk. Would stay again and highly recommend.

Nice quiet area, plenty of shops and dining options nearby. Travelling on interrail tour, so very handy to have laundry facilities available. Near to railway viaduct but not too noisy and a highlight for 2 young travellers 11, 10.

Hotel Hottingen is small but homey. The rooms are clean and spacious. The marvelous staff Magi and (sorry I forgot the name of the lady that checked us in on Monday :( )went above and beyond in guiding me how to go out and about Zurich city. And when my son got sick, they automatically showed the genuine hospitality of reaching out to what they can help with. Thank you Ms. Magi! You made our stay in your beautiful city a memorable one.
