「Had a booking and was supposed to arrive before midnight. However the road going west from Golden to Revelstoke was closed due to avalanche control. So, I had no choice but to stay in Golden overnight instead. Called next day explained the situation and they refused to not charge me for the night. It was clearly a case of unable to arrive at hotel. What sort of management decision to charge for an unexpected circumstance. I hope your hotel makes a good profit from an unethical business practice....

「Very nice hotel and restaurant
Beautiful views across the lake
Only issue was that the hotel gets very busy with conferences and we often couldn't find parking on site. It felt unsafe walking in the dark when having to park elsewhere 」
