The facility was great. The room was clean and the staff were mostly excellent. There was a person at the front desk on the friday that we were checking out who seemed a bit short with us that we didn't know that that day was a national strike and reserving a cab to the train would be a potential problem. I am sure she was stressed about the strike but she made us feel like we should know about this. We probably should have, but didn't. Other than this incident, the stay, the breakfast and a dinner were all amazing.

Spacious room much bigger than an average single.

Wonderful five star stay at Palazzo Castri. The beautiful modern yet comfortable hotel decor, large inner garden courtyard with lemon trees and flowers, kind and attentive staff and relaxing spa offered an exquisite and peaceful oasis in the city of Florence.

Great staff willing to go the distance to offer us the better room available. Plus, they were sensitive enough to give us a complimentary gift since it was our honeymoon.

We loved everything about our stay at Hotel Balestri. The location right by the Arno River was a quick, easy (flat) walk to every major museum and attraction in Florence. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the shower water pressure was very strong.
