"My wife and I are usually very careful when it comes to booking a holiday but somehow this one got under the radar! We thought we had a bed not a bed settee, we thought there was a fully fitted kitchen, there wasn't, we thought we could use the lake, we couldn't as it was closed, I expressly asked twice if I could bring a kayak but had no reply, nor were we told the lake was out of action due to Algie, we also didn't know that pretty much absolutely everything else was extra, TV, Wifi, swimming,...

"In dit huis waren alle nodige voorzieningen. Jong en oud voelden zich hier thuis. We vonden het ook heel fijn in de mooie tuin te kunnen vertoeven. De eigenaar antwoordde vlug wanneer we hem een bericht stuurden. Een aanrader om daar met familie te verblijven."

"The property is down a lane in a very rural location about 2Kms outside Rance and it is about as tranquil and relaxing as you could imagine with just the distant baa ing of the sheep for company. The bedrooms and bathroom and toilet are downstairs with the living accommodation and patio upstairs which works very well. We absolutely loved it and were blessed with fine weather. To note the downstairs toilet is very compact."

"A small but reasonably comfortable chalet in a beautiful location with a view of the lake. Nice place to enjoy the onsite facilities and visit the area. Downsides. There was no oven in the kitchen which was frustrating, just a very small microwave without oven feature. There was no control on noise from other groups that partied until the early hours on several nights "

"Belle maison sur Beaurieux avec tout le confort, bien chauffé ce qui est appréciable en hiver, les explications d'Ingrid ont été claires et l'accueil agréable. Le jardin est idéal avec un animal de compagnie. A proximité du val Joly pour une promenade au bord du lac. Un bon week-end de novembre!"

"The apartments were fantastic, a real sense of quality, and even with other rooms around you it felt very private. We opted for a lake view and I'm so glad we did - with panoramic views of the lake from large glass windows/doors. The space itself was excellent with a large living area and a small but useful kitchen area. "We did not arrive until 11.30pm as we were stuck for 3 hours in traffic in switzerland and had no way of contacting the owner. She was wonderful as we thought we would be sleeping in the car that night, but she got out of bed and let us in. Following morning, breakfast was all home made and the owner accepted my sincere apologies for the late arrival. May be an idea that Expedia gives each other a phone number to ring if late as I had no access to email whilst driving. "
