Good situation for public transport with U bahn station next door, and a S7 station (which I used for airport transfer) about 15 mins walk.
I didn't have breakfast, so no opinion on that.
Staff were friendly.
Only problem I had was on an occasion that I made one (planned) return at 03:30 I couldn't get the electronic card to open the main entry door. Perhaps my attempts alerted someone as a staff member turned up about 30 mins later. (They do mention that cards can be affected by close exposure to electronics or magnets but I'd been careful to avoid that).
A few shops, bars, restaurants in Summeringer Hauptstraße if not always wanting to travel to other parts.
Overall, I would use Simms again.
