Room was great. Staff great

The location is excellent and I didn't know this when booking but there is a small cafe in the lobby where one can get espresso, tortilla soup, or other food options all day for free. The breakfast (not served out of the cafe but different) was amazing so the benefit of water, coffee and food was a great value. Hotel is also very pretty and the staff were exceptionally nice.

Overall my stay at the Hotel Zocalo was ok. I wanted to love this hotel because it’s close to so many places…after all it’s in the Zocalo, but my issue with the hotel was that our room felt too small. Hubby and I paid for a deluxe King room and for the price that was paid we expected better. Our room felt cramped and on top of that there was construction happening on the building next to where our room was and the construction went on until late at night which was honestly quite irritating. Sadly I did not take pictures of the room, I messed up on that part but trust when I say the room was small. The view of the hotel itself is marvelous and upon arrival we were offered a complementary shot of tequila or wine (shot preferred) The breakfast was ok, hubby enjoyed his breakfast. I did not care for the hotcakes though.

People is great, clean, it is well located.
