During our first trip to Costa Rica, we stayed at the stunning Hotel Mango Valley. Nestled in lush surroundings, the hotel offered not only breathtaking views but also invaluable local insights. The staff recommended incredible nearby attractions, including waterfalls, serene hot springs, and an engaging coffee tour, which were all standout experiences. While the hotel mostly impressed us, there were a few minor issues. The shower's water temperature fluctuated from very hot to cold, and running the toilet simultaneously further reduced the water pressure. Even if it wasn’t running, it was still similar to a beach shower. Despite this, it was manageable. We booked through Expedia, which meant our reservation did not include breakfast. However, we could purchase it at a reasonable price, and it was absolutely delicious. Overall, Hotel Mango Valley is a gem of a place, perfect for anyone looking to immerse themselves in the beauty and adventure of Costa Rica. We'd definitely recommend it for its beauty and the overall quality of the stay.

Loved the hotel once you get there but there is nothing really nearby so you definitely need a car. Uber is cheap about $3-$5 to get a ride one way to the nearest city for food

The manager was very friendly and informative. The rooms are rustic but very clean and neat. No AC during the day can be a bit warm but temperatures cool at night making sleeping very comfortable.

Love the seclusion with amazing views of mountains & Mynah birds singing in the morning. Gustavo was a great host, bringing us cold beers & ordering pizza for delivery, since we got in late. Delicious CR breakfast included. We could easily have stayed longer.

The property was very peaceful and tranquil. We did not like that pur front door opened to gravel. No immediate outsidecspace to enjoy the view. Sitting in a gravel parking lot was not to our liking. The pool was wonderful!

Great stay at Mango Valley with a great view
Great stay with an amazing view. So many birds to enjoy watching. The cabin was comfortable and a very nice breakfast served each morning.

Our stay at mango valley was idyllic and peaceful. javier, the manager of the hotel, was kind and courteous. I loved our time here and wished we could have stayed longer. this was a great place for my husband and I to visit together.

The property is located in the middle of coffee plantations, which is really nice. Breakfast was ok but slightly expensive ($9 as of Aug 2022). The cabin has one main room (bedroom and kitchenette) equipped with basic kitchen appliances, the bathroom has a shower with hot water. **Expedia VIP Reward Perks are NOT honored in this property, so watch out for that**

The property is small and very beautiful. It is away from the city enough to escape the city noise and busy life. The staff was great and attentive. The rooms are cozy and provide a great viewing area of the surrounding land and mountains. I would highly recommend if you are looking for a quiet and secluded get away.

No está mal pero podría mejorar.
El lugar es aislado y deja la sensación de salir un rato de la ciudad. La atención y el desayuno buenos. Faltan opciones de comida y la habitación asignada no era la más cómoda, además de que algunas imágenes en la publicidad no coincidían. Algo de ruido de los demás huéspedes por la noche.

Quiet, leafy area 👍. The room contained a fridge cooking essentials a microwave and a small cooking plate if ever you were to use that. Spacious room and area with nice pool!

Estadía en Mango Valley
El lugar es muy bonito, las habitaciones son muy cómodas y acogedoras, tienen todos los implementos necesarios y está bien equipada. La piscina es hermosa y tiene una vista muy bella. Únicamente mejoraría el desayuno ya que es muy básico, sin embargo estaba rico. Cerca del hotel hay un restaurante familiar muy rico y además hay pulperías muy cerca por lo que tiene una buena ubicación. En general la estadía me encantó y si volvería de nuevo definitivamente. Salí muy contenta.

This property is remote and gorgeous! It is small and very unique to the country. The staff was attentive and so helpful. Javier was a godsend for helping us order take out and providing a tour guide that surpassed all our expectations. Costa Rica is amazing and we would definitely stay at Mango Valley again
