"The restaurant and bar have wonderful food and drinks. Their signature dish, Sea Bass, is always yummy. Breakfast is hearty and satisfying. The grounds are beautiful and scenic with lots of vegetation, trees and butterflies. It’s our 2nd time enjoying Hotel Bougainvillea. We’ll be back!"

"Interest was down. Which was limiting Staff were extremely helpful and made lots of suggestions where to eat etc The outside area we couldn’t use as was going to rain. Lovely contemporary decor but would defo book somewhere with an outside area"

"El primer día de desayuno fue bueno. Por que tenían un congreso y fue variado. El restante de los días fue deficiente. Lo único bueno eran los huevos revueltos. Nada dulce. No tenían jamón. Deficiente Colocaban ensaladas que nadie consume y se notaban los vegaltales que llevaban días. El buffet. Pobre de variedades."

"The place was excellent. The location was great, with restaurants, shops, and the two main museums I wanted to visit in San José all within easy walking distance. The staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful, and everyone made me feel very welcome. One thing to be aware of is that I paid for the room in cash, which I had not realized beforehand. It worked out perfectly fine, but it is helpful to know in advance. I would absolutely stay here again and would definitely recommend it to...
