Oldest hotel in San Antonio! I thought it was a great place. Lots of old world charm with a great location and a pool. I didn't want for anything, the staff was helpful and it was very affordable.

This was our first stay and it was amazing. We had a small issue with the AC in our room and the front desk immediately moved us to another room. The location of the hotel is premium, a lot of places were within walking distance. The valet parking staff is top notch, courteous, friendly and efficient. The architecture is unique which adds character and charm. Check in was easy and check out was smooth. Thank you!

Everything was great!!! The staff was the best, very friendly and helpful. The only thing that I was disappointed in was the valet parking. The total price of $65 per night was a little steep. Other than that it was wonderful.

There is a lot of things to say about this hotel, but the most impressive is definitely historic You will feel with curiosity to explore it a little bit. It feels like a five star hotel from “the shining” movie. Carpet patters, wallpapers, long halls… perfectly kept

Room was okay but the sink next to the bathroom was dirty with hairs in the sink, on the faucet and around the sink area. The pool and pool area were dirty. The hotel was in a good location and I like the history it has but I would not stay there again.

We have stayed here before. It’s a nice hotel just keep in mind and as they told me when I called. It’s an older hotel. This when it’s hot outside the rooms do not get cold during the day. They brought us a fan and night time was better. But for those that want a cold room to sleep in. In summer time not the place to stay. Location is great though!

The hotel is old, that’s part of the charm. The rooms are large, outdated and also charming. It’s a vibe. We could have paid similar for a newer hotel but would lose out on the location, the pool, and the amazing staff. I will return to San Antonio and I will always stay at the Menger.

Beautiful historical hotel in the center of downtown. The customer service was excellent considering the heat and long line for check-in, but they got the job done with smiles unending. Tiegen is the MAN!!;
