Charming 2-bedroom country mobile home with game room, hot tub, seasonal pool

"The mobile home was in perfect shape - the free snacks were a very nice touch, and as I had mentioned to Cathy that our anniversary was coming up, there were Happy Anniversary balloons waiting for us. When we first pulled up, it seemed like everything was a little more closely packed than we might have thought from the pictures, but in the event the property is well laid out to provide a real sense of privacy. Cathy & Richard were very gracious hosts and we felt like we could ask their help with anything. Re the area, highly recommend the Silver Mines Trail and Castor River Shut-Ins, and the Old Mine House’s seafood gumbo is quite good."

"Cabin was in an excellent location for visiting k bridge for the day. It was a little rustic and didn't have any info about WiFi or how to use the TV. We tried several times, but nothing worked. The host did respond to a message, but not until we had given up. Kitchen could definitely use a new can opener and needs kitchen towels. Bed was comfy and shower was nice. We also like the pet friendly option."

"The only reason I didn’t give a 5 star for cleanliness is because the outdoor space could have used a little cleaning. The deck needed sweeping, the table was covered with dust and 1 rocking chair had the back broke on it so it was not usable. The inside was very clean. The fire pit and grill also needed cleaning. All in all it was a perfect place. We still used the the outdoor space. Would definitely book again. Host was very good in replying back with any questions I had."

"My wife and I stayed here for anniversary trip. The fox den is a perfect combination of 1970's vibes, while still having modern conveniences. We appreciated the fresh eggs provided and well stocked kitchen for making breakfast.The host put much effort in making sure it was great experience with great guidebook that provided information on everything in the fox den and recommended local places for dining and exploring. We also had the charcuterie add-on, which looked and tasted amazing and was perfect for snacking on during our stay.The location is very secluded as described. My only advice would be to plan your excursions from the fox den as it does take some extra travel time (especially if you normally live in more populated areas) than what you may be used to. That being said the natural beauty of the area, along with the peace and quiet was worth the extra distance. Overall, we had a great stay and would recommend the fox den to anyone looking for escape into both nature and the 1970's."
