COVID-19 may have changed how we travel, but it hasn't done away with our lust for exploring. Here are a few tips on how to cope with the new challenges of traveling:

• Investigate if any travel restrictions apply to your destination and origin before locking in a flight. Also check if there are any requirements you'll need to follow on arrival, such as undergoing health assessments.
• You're required to wear a face mask at the airport, including at screening checkpoints. Be ready to lower your mask to verify your identity when asked by a TSA officer.
• Rather than handing a TSA agent your boarding pass, position it directly on the scanner yourself. After that, hold it up for inspection.
• You're allowed to take one container of hand sanitizer up to 12 oz (350 ml) in your hand luggage. You'll have to remove it for X-ray scanning.
• To minimize handling during screening, place personal items such as your wallet, phone and belt into your carry-on instead of the bins.
• Transport any food items in a clear plastic bag and also put them in a screening bin. Keeping your food separate from your carry-on makes it less likely that a TSA officer will need to touch and open your bag for inspection.
