Sunset Escape: Stunning Seneca Lake Sunsets!
Take a drive through the rolling hills of the Finger Lakes, and you'll find many bright, open, inviting countryside homes. But you'll find few with quite as much charm as this Seneca Lake beauty; Sunset Escape.
Enter through the door into the lower-level living space, and you'll be greeted by an open, comfortable family room with a TV, and light up shuffleboard! Set your luggage aside and play a game right away as you step into relaxation mode for your getaway ahead.
Take the stairs up to the main living area, hardwood floor spans the length of the great room. This relaxed, comfortable space is filled with plush seating and an electric fireplace and lake views. On the other side of the room, the open kitchen sits. Offering ample cooking and dining ware, enjoy meals in just as you'll enjoy some of the many tastes of the Finger Lakes when you venture out. A formal wooden dining table comfortably seats six and the island bar area offers additional seating as well.
Around the corner from the main living space you'll find each of the three private bedrooms. The master bedroom adorns a king bed with ensuite bath, featuring a stand-up shower and a soaking garden tub. The additional two bedrooms are equally as spacious and offer a queen bed to rest your head each evening.
Step outside the living room sliding glass door and you'll find a large wrap-around deck, with ample deck seating that overlooks the lake. A sprawling lawn affording more than enough space for any outdoor activity you could imagine.
This home has a truly winning view of Seneca Lake and easy access to shared residential lakefront just a short walk down the street. The shared community lake access is just down the street, and guests can walk or drive to the parking area across the street from the lakefront. A large covered pavilion and charcoal grill is available here for enjoying a small barbeque or outdoor meal, and a play area offers swings and a slide for children's enjoyment. About 15 steps lead down to the natural lakefront, with a pebble beach and gradual entry it is ideal for all ages.
Finding fun and adventure on Seneca Lake is never hard. Within walking distance to your country home is Sampson State Park, home to the historic Sampson Air Force Base. This gorgeous park is now a camp ground, a walking park, and a museum dedicated to the airmen who trained and served here. A short drive south will bring you to the Bonavista Golf Club, and not far north you'll find Geneva NY, where the fine, performing, and culinary arts alike will win you over in a heartbeat, and be sure to stop by the various wineries and breweries along the way! It seems nothing is quite out of reach at the beautiful country home at Sunset Escape.

We stayed here with a couple of friends and our dogs for my husband’s 40th birthday. The place was clean and inviting. I love the location. It was perfect to walk the dogs every morning and evening. It had great amenities available. We had an issue when we arrived with the hot water. We called and they came right out and fixed the issue. Will definitely stay here again.

We (three couples) rented this property to enjoy the wineries and breweries along Seneca Lake. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood across from the lake. Beautiful views. The wineries/breweries were a few miles away in either direction, as well as restaurants. The house was very clean and had plenty of room. Lots of board games and a shuffleboard table. Would definitely stay here again.

Everything was great. The bed in the room with the oars is very uncomfortable. Could use a new mattress and box spring. Otherwise everything was fine

We really enjoyed this property. It had all the amenities listed and was in a great area that gave easy access to day trip around the area to see the Finger Lakes, Waterfalls, wineries, cheese and ice cream dairies for tastings. Big deck for sunsets and friendships. A wonderful week had by all to celebrate 60th birthdays of lifelong friends.

Our daughter is doing a clinical rotation in nearby Geneva - we are from Mass and looking for a place to meetup with her. The house was immaculate and very comfortable. We would love to go back in the summer to enjoy the lake!

Overall good location with plenty of space to spread out. Outdoor deck was good to hang out on. Although it would have been nice if there was some kind of partial cover on deck. Afternoon sun was quite brutal on deck. Kitchen was nice with large refrigerator and countertops. Master bedroom with large on suite was great.

Our family rented this house for a Thanksgiving getaway and we could not have been happier! This house was perfect and everything we needed. It was the cleanest house we have ever rented. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we could need. The host was very responsive with all communications. The location is centrally located to many wineries, breweries, and distilleries. It is also a very quiet neighborhood. We would definitely rent this house again!

House was exactly as described and had all the basics that are needed. Positives: View of lake pretty good over the lakeside houses. Sunsets terrific! House condition is excellent. Plenty of space for our family plus infant. Beds very comfy. Quiet area and safe for walking. Downsides: no roof over deck- if it rains you can’t get outside; if it’s beastly sunny/hot, very challenging/ uncomfortable on deck. Long skinny driveway - had to juggle cars in/out.

We had a lovely stay - the house was beautiful and in a great location. Very close to the small public beach access, which was nice. Very straightforward directions to get there. The only thing we would have wanted to see improved were the beds. The king bed in particular was extremely hard and uncomfortable. Other than sleeping arrangements, the house was perfect - great deck with a gorgeous view. The neighbors were so friendly and welcoming.

This was our second stay at this house in the last 6 months. Our first time was after Memorial Day. Just the two of us and our 35lb dog. We loved the location, the layout and space of the house. This time we came up for a Halloween wine event at Hosmer Winery on Cayuga Lake and we had family come up for an overnight while we were here. Eight people (and our pup) in total. The house was still great! Open floor plan let us all cook and eat together, and watch TV and play games together, but everyone had comfortable "private space" to sleep. We're never sure when we leave when our next trip to Seneca Lake will be, but we'll always look for this house when we come back!

4 out of 5 stars. We were greeted with a dead bird on the porch but made quick work of it with a shovel we found. The shuffle board was a bust. We could never figure out how to stop the pucks from sliding off the end. There were limited views of the lake due to the big trees and houses across the way. There was plenty of space and other games to play. We even completed a 1,000 piece puzzle! It was clean. I would stay again.

We visit Seneca Lake from New Jersey often. We have stayed in many places all around the lake. This neighborhood is one of our favorites. This house, while not right on the water, has an outstanding, livable deck looking out at the water. We brought our 30 lb spaniel mix with us, and the deck railing and gates were exactly right to let him run around without us worrying about him getting hurt or getting loose.
Inside the house was awesome. High ceilings and open floor plan in the kitchen, dining area and living room areas. Beautiful master bedroom with its own bathroom, and two other bedrooms on the main floor with a separate bathroom. Finished basement with its own living room area and TV, plus a fourth bed setup.
The upstairs TV was great. Wi-Fi connection was easy and signal was strong. The kitchen was appointed well enough for us to do the cooking we wanted to do.
This was a great vacation spot and we hope to stay here again.

Really great house with views of Seneca Lake from multiple side. Updated, clean, and big! Would definitely recommend for a group to spend time at the Finger Lakes. Just be sure you bring food with you because there is really not much nearby, and no door dash or uber eats options.
Overall, great time at a great place.

My husband & I travelled with our 2 pups along with my brother and his fiance. It’s nicely situated along Seneca lake in a private community that has a shared park / private access to the lake. It’s quiet with kind, friendly neighbors. Only 20min from Geneva with great eats and late night drinks. Near plenty of wineries and breweries. The accomodations were well appointed, clean, and comfortable. Only the primary bedroom had a ceiling fan so you may want to bring one with you if that’s important for your comfort in the secondary bedrooms. All beds were comfortable. Great location for our dogs too since the deck is secured with a gate - we loved our morning coffee out there with the dogs. Highly recommend!

We all were so blown away with this property. It is so much bigger and prettier than the pictures. It is beautiful, spacious and has everything we need. It really was a home away from home.
The beds were so comfortable with so many pillows and blankets.
The cooking utensils were perfect!!
The outside patio/wrap-around deck was amazing. We loved having our coffee out there.
We honestly just needed our clothes. We got to know some neighbors which was so much fun!
Thank you!!
