The place was perfect. Just as described, clean, and a short walking distance to the main tourists sites. Close to restaurants, and coffee shops. Staff was very friendly, responsive, and gave suggestions about places to visit. Truly recommended!

Very nice apartment, comfortable bed, great bathroom, coffee maker that was restocked every day by the super nice host. The location is very near to the colosseum and a lot of wonderful little restaurants. We walked everywhere, Rome is a big city but, we were able to find our way around just fine.

Gentlemen that checked us in was fantastic. Friendly and helpful! He even offered me a glass of cold water before checking us in. Very smooth checkin and organized. Also helped us with directions to Subway. Lots of clean towels , soap and coffee maker in room. Cold water dispenser in lobby is a nice touch. Would Stay again. Great location.

Checking was really nice, there was a person for check in. They helped us book the Taxi to the airport. Colleseum is very walkable via Domus Aurea park . They have spacious room with Coffee makers. Dont expect a kitchen or utensils but other than that , this property has everything. Even a water dispenser for drinking water, that was a blessing. It is on ground floor so not any steps.

in a great location to move around the city . Luca helped us a lot showing us a map of the city and a good places to eat. The only part I didn’t like is the bed very uncomfortable couldn’t sleep . but everything else was very nice also A/c works properly . thanks so much !

Good accommodation. Clean. Nice neighborhood. Nice aristocratic building. Very high and beautiful celling. Beautiful floors. It is very convenient having coffee machine and water dispenser with tree kins of water! Bordering a park and very close to the Colosseum. Convenient for using city transport. Nearest bus stop is two minutes away. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Fabulous location at the foot of Colosseum- just a short walk through the park. Nice neighborhood. Don’t miss the Italian “bodega” for espresso & snacks up the street. Extremely clean.

Nothing crazy but perfect for our last night before heading to the airport. ~15 min walk from train station which is nice, and water dispenser is a nice touch.

contrairement à ce qui est annoncé personne à la réception pour nous accueillir malgré notre ponctualité par rapport à l'heure prévue de notre arrivée ! Mais uniquement un contact téléphonique difficile à obtenir( après 20 mn d’attente et de multiples essais) nous donnant un numéro de code.Par la suite contacts très agréable avec le personnel. Dommage que la ventilation de la salle de bain et le chauffe eau soient bruyants , sans cela j'aurai trouvé la chambre parfaite

Great place to stay
We enjoyed our stay at Mecenate Rooms, only a few complaints. The room itself was clean, comfortable, & in a good location. The staff was very nice & responsive. We booked the Deluxe Room but apparently got the Comfort Double Room. They did not mention it so we did not know during our stay, but looking at the reservation site the difference is obvious. The hotel is 4 rooms that open into a small parlor with a desk & a complimentary water dispenser (cold or room temperature flat and cold sparkling). The room was well lit, clean, & had a pretty vaulted brick ceiling. There was an electric kettle, coffee machine, & mini fridge with complimentary coffee, tea, cookies, & water bottles that were refilled every morning. The bathroom was just renovated and had beautiful fixtures. There was a tablet in the room, though we never used it. The room had a keypad with a code to get in. The building & hotel suite had keys. The room was on the ground floor so there was some street noise, but it was not excessive. The location is great, only a 5-minute walk through a park to the Coliseum. Aside from some initial difficulty finding the WhatsApp # to contact reception, communication with staff was quick and pleasant. They let us store our luggage in the parlor area both before the room was ready & after checking out. They were doing construction in the room next door but were considerate to keep the noise to a min until we were up so we barely noticed. Overall, we would stay here again.

Would come again!
My friend and I could not have been happier with the hotel. The room provided was actually quite large with two twin beds, a sitting area, a small foyer, and a large bathroom. The hotel is very near the Coliseum and also near a lovely neighborhood park, Parco di Colle Oppio, just catty corner from the hotel. Once you go into the park if you look to your left past the gate you will see a little outdoor café – Da Nunzia al Colle Oppio. This cafe has been there since the 1920's and was lovely to sit at and have petit déjeuner and watch the people pass by. We also felt very safe as the hotel is in a residential neighborhood and we were behind three locked doors. The first locked door is to the entrance to the overall building, which has several residences in it, a court yard and a very old interesting elevator. You have to buzz at the gate to notify the hotel of your arrival as they are actually within one of the residences within the building. The 2nd locked door is to the hotel itself. It is only open if the desk clerk is present otherwise it is locked and guests have a key to this door. And of course the third locked door is to the room itself. Andrew, our host, was very gracious on our arrival and provided a small tour of the amenities and which included a tablet in the room as the TV shows would only be in Italian. We didn't use it but it was very thoughtful. In the lobby there is a small selection of tour books for Rome. Would stay here again!

Melhor check in que fizemos em toda nossa viajem para Europa, o senhor super atencioso nos mostrou tudo no quarto, com certeza diferente de todos os italianos que tivemos que conversar em toda nossa viagem. Tivemos um problema no primeiro dia, no meio do banho a água não esquentava mais, tive que terminar o banho em outro quarto, situação muito ruim, mas que foi amenizada com pedido de desculpas providencial do senhor que nos ofereceu de cortesia 2 café da manhã. Já a moça que acho que era irmã dele se mostrava um pouco fria e desconfiada, no segundo dia quando fomos perguntar pra ela onde era os locais do café ela se mostrou muito surpresa de como teríamos tickets do café, me falou sobre o imposto da cidade, falei que pagaria na saída e ela concordou, no dia seguinte, falou que no dia da saída não estaria se podia pagar o imposto, paguei sem problema, no dia da saída, adivinha quem estava no hotel, a moça...Também não gostei que foi feito contado comigo querendo saber o horário que chegaríamos, visto que pedi para estender meu chekout e não foi possível, dessa forma presumo que o quarto teria que estar pronto as 14 como combinado é em nenhum momento foi perguntado se chegaria tarde e sim que horário chegaria na tarde; A limpeza deixou um pouco a desejar, sobre tudo com as roupas de cama; Mas de forma de geral ficamos satisfeitos com a estadia.

我們在這飯店住四晚，很遭糕的事情是我放在保險箱的錢被偷了。詭異的是保險箱沒有遭到破壞，而小偷在最後一天只偷了一部分的錢。我有美金1,000元，是佰元鈔10張，小偷抽走其中兩張。我有新台幣兩萬伍仟元，偷走一萬七仟元。我在羅馬使用歐元，失竊前一天還有多少歐元我不是很確定，但是我肯定被偷了約兩百元。這種偷法我可以肯定的說是內賊所為。首先保險箱沒有被破壞，只有飯店人員有Super Password或是Master Key可以打開保險箱。其次，在最後一天只偷走部分現金，其用意是希望被害人沒有發現部分現金被偷，隔天被害人一退房就過關了。我在睡覺前整理行李，發現現金短少，立即向服務人員反映。服務人員問了一些問題以及損失的金額後，要我發一封電子郵件給某個人，然後說他會向保險公司求償，然後只留下我的電子郵件地址而已。我要求他向警察局報案，以取得報案證明，服務人員說保險箱沒有被破壞無法報案。我懷疑這是內賊所為，所以服務人員也只是在敷衍我。沒有警方的證明，如何向保險公司求償？ 隔天早上我們就退房搭機回台灣了，看來這件事情就這樣不了了之，他們的陰謀再度得逞。我也只能在這裡把事情公開說明一下，希望不會有下一個受害者。

Well managed b & b. Only complaint was WiFi was really weak. Sometimes wouldn’t even pop up on my iPhone and then I’d lose it. Walk over by the door and the signal would come back. Nice place though, we would stay here again.

sehr gute Lage in Nähe vom Colosseum
Ein gutes Hotel was praktisch nur eine Übernachtungsmöglichkeit bietet. Schließlich wollten wir ja Rom besichtigen und nich den Urlaub im Hotel verbringen. Die Lage ist top, nur ca. 500m zum Colosseum, welches durch einen Park zu erreichen ist (der Park schließt allerdings um 10 Uhr 30, so dass man dann etwas umständlich drum herum laufen muss). In der anderen Richtungs gibt es ausreichend Möglichkeiten zum Kaffee trinken, essen gehen oder einzukaufen. Die nächste Metro ist auch ca. 500m entfernt. Personal war nur morgens im Hotel und sporadisch zwischendurch anzutreffen. Aber immer freundlich und stets bereit zu helfen. Da ich italienisch nicht behersche und das Personal kein Deutsch, wurde sich auf englisch verständigt. Das Zimmer bestand aus einem Raum mit Bett und einem Badezimmer. Eine kleine Küche mit Kaffeemaschine und Kühlschrank für die Allgemeinheit. Nicht top modern eingerichtet, aber für meine Bedürfnisse o.k. Der Fernseher recht klein, glaube ein 32" und nur italienische Sender, kein einziger Deutscher. W-Lan gibt es dafür umsonst. Also, für jemanden der praktisch nur eine gute Übernachtungsmöglichkeit sucht ist es zu empfehlen.

In den Mecenate Rooms sind wir anwesend, wie Sie jeden Morgen zum Frühstück sagen und um den Ansprüchen unserer Gäste gerecht zu werden, aber Andrea wohnt im selben Gebäude und verbringt auch nachmittags und abends die Fenster zu schließen und ist immer verfügbar! Wir hoffen, Sie bald wieder Gäste zu haben! Auf Wiedersehen !

4 steps from Colosseo
Excellent location and excellent host. 5 minutes away from colosseo. Host provided restaurants suggestions and gave good tips about Rome. We had some minor issues with cleanliness upon arrival, which was solved in minutes. Overall stay was very good and good ratio quality/price in Rome.

Coliseum Neighbor
This is a townhouse accommodation similar to a B&B, not a hotel. Staff was extremely pleasant! Caterina was very welcoming. They went out and purchased us a new pillow as we requested more. We slept in at checkout day and were an hour late and they were very forgiving and even offered us a coffee on out way out. It is a shared little kitchen for some light breakfast with fruits and cereal and yogurts. Staff is not always present but were left #s in the event we needed anything. The room was slightly disappointing compared to photos shown. Dirty floors and scuffed up walls, shower gets water all over and therefore water damage around floor. Location is great though.
