I would probably rate my stay as average. All I was really looking for was something inexpensive and close to Termini. The room fit both of those qualifications. However, I'm not sure I would stay there again. I don't particularly like rooms with "shared bathrooms" and this was no exception. There was no tub in the room for washing up, just a sink. The shower was also in the bathroom but had no curtain and you had to squeegee the floor after you were finished. The beds were quite soft and there was no air conditioning, only a fan. That said, if you just want a cheap place to stay it's probably fine.
Clean rooms, close to train station and quiet neighborhood! Very happy during our stay here in Rome. Owner and staff were very friendly and accommodating! I'm just disappointed that they didn't offer a hot water pot (to boil water) inside the room--- that would've our stay better!
Dzwony biją dłużej o 7 i 20.
Our stay was brief (2knights). The character of the hotel was instantly noticed, as the old age elevator came down to great us. If you haven't seen one of these in real time, its worth the experience. the room was spacious, clean, and rather comfortable with two twin beds of which we joined together since we are a married couple. The bathroom/toiletry is shared with other tenants, of which they have maybe 3 or 4 that I could notice on our floor. The showers have no curtain so you will have to squeegy the floors after showering. Everything about the bathroom has character in it self. We gave it a rating of 4 stars because the one man staff was soooo helpful. Not to mention if you are going to travel to the old country why not experience it with some old age characteristics.
Ottimo albergo, personale disponibile e gentile. Grazie
Also ziemlich klein und überschaubar!

not a bad hotel, owner was great.
Hotel service was great but there is no air conditioning and we almost melted, also the showers in the bathrooms aren't practical;they have no screens or curtains so the entire bathroom gets flooded.
Minutes walk from Termini Station on Via Magenta. It's a basic hotel on the 4th floor but the rooms are spacious and clean. Fresh towels are provided. Shared bathrooms which are clean. The proprietor is very friendly and extremely helpful; offering good advice on several local places to eat, where to visit and he warned me about pickpockets and tricks used by thieves near the station. My room was a little noisy in the early evenings but if you're going to stay in budget accommodation in central Rome, you should expect that!
We had a great time at Hotel Giamaica. Our room was very large and clean. The furniture was a but outdated but it has its charm. The bathrooms were clean. We were welcomed very warmly and the owner was always available to answer our questions. The location was great, right next to the train station. We had to walk quite a bit to get downtown and to the main sights but Rome is so large you can't escape it. We were very satisfied with our stay, especially considering our budget.

Good hotel for small budgets
Good location, many good restaurants nearby and very close to the train station. Comfortable rooms, but weird bathrooms (tiny showers with no curtains). Overall, I would recommend for those with a small budget.

Unexpected concept.
Giamaica is not a hotel, is more like a Guest-house, very close to Termini Station and with nice people willing to service. Rooms are wide but beds are tiny and very old. Shared bathrooms /restrooms are clean but too basic (no place to leave your clothes while bathing, no shower curtains). Still, reasonable value-prize.
Overall a good stay. Only about a 10 minute walk to Termini. This place has character in the bird cage elevator. The gentleman who runs this place was helpful and friendly. He really is there to help you. This place is for a budget friendly traveler. It worked fine for us three for two nights.

Hotel is close to the central station, which is great, room has two twin beds very uncomfortable, the worst part was the bathroom, shower does not have a door or even a plastic courtain so the whole bathroom gets very wet. Be prepare to pay 3 EUR per person, per night; not satisfied with the price and the conditions of this pension (not hotel).

Hotel Giamaica is a small and quaint hotel nestled two streets behind the main train station in Rome.In my opinion it is centrally located, and a walking distance to the local cafés,parks and to the colosseum,so transportation by walking and/or the train is advised. Unless you don't like walking...then taxis are readily available, buses as well, and a missed opportunity to really see the beauty of Rome.Arriving around the vicinity of the hotel at 1am by taxi(who drive very aggressive, but safe, surprisingly),I was greeted by a few homeless individuals sleeping around the corner of the hotel. At first I thought this was a red flag for my safety and a concern for the sanitation around the area;however my worries quickly subsided as I entered the building.Situatied next to other small hotels lining the street, the entrance of the building was clean, welcoming, and quiet. In order for us to get to the actual hotel, one had to take an old fashioned(but safe) elevator to the hotel lobby where we were greeted by the owner/consierge Antonio. He showed us to our room which was very cute and spacious for an afforadable Italian hotel. The beds were small but comfortable and the room were clean,so you couldn't ask for more .The bathrooms were also clean. My loved one and I spent the next two days sleeping, eating, walking in and out of the hotel without any disturbance from the other guest and/or from Antonio, who was regularly there to greet us in the morning, wish us well on our travels, and say goodnight when we walked In late.I didn't worry about my safety while I was inside the hotel, due to the fact that we had a personal key to the front entrance door and to our room(obviously).Tip:Make sure you pack clothes that don't need to be ironed as much, because if you do.. there isn't one readily available within the hotel. You have to ask Antonio, who then has to call a member of the cleaning staff to bring one in either that evening or the following day(I thought this was quirky, but it was a first so I went with the flow). The only interesting thing I could say about our stay was the fact that we paid the day before our check out date and not the day of check-in(again this was my first time in Italy,I'm sure this is common). We were also required to pay a tourist fee by the government that had to be given in cash only. Thus, make sure that you have this amount set aside first before you begin on your adventures into Rome, because that snuck up on us, and kind of played around with our budget. We left the next day without a hassle and a sweet goodbye from the main cleaning lady(who I must say is beyond beautiful with her short hair, and beyond awesome).I can confidently say that If I decide to return back to Italy and back to Rome,Hotel Giamaica will be where I reside for my stay.
