About the Home:
Surrounded by towering live oak trees and country quiet, The Bluehouse is a spacious single-level home with a floor plan that makes hosting or relaxing a breeze. An extra-long front porch welcomes you in, while a covered side porch offers additional space to enjoy the outdoors—rain or shine.
Inside, French-Provincial inspiration meets practical comfort. The oversized kitchen features granite countertops, full-size appliances, and a cozy breakfast area with its own smart TV. A separate formal dining table seats up to 10, perfect for sharing meals or playing games with friends and family.
The living room is bright and cozy, with a large sectional, a smart TV, and thoughtful accents that make it easy to feel at home. A dedicated laundry room with a sink and folding counter makes longer stays a breeze, and there's plenty of storage throughout the home to keep things uncluttered and convenient.

Dogs are allowed with prior approval and a $100 fee per pet. With room to roam and comfy sleeping spaces, even your furry friends will feel at home here.
NOTE: - Since we’re a pet-friendly home, this means wagging tails and happy paws are welcome here! Our cleaning team does a fantastic job, but a stray fur or two may still sneak by. If allergies are a concern, we totally understand and recommend choosing a pet-free property for maximum comfort.

Guest Access:
Guests will have privacy and full access to the entire house with the exception of one storage closet.
Access is via a secure lockbox or smart lock system. Arrival details will be sent once the rental agreement, ID verification, and security deposit or damage waiver are completed.
While the home offers complete privacy, your hosts are just a message away should you need anything before or during your stay. We respect your privacy but are always happy to assist—whether it’s local tips, help with something unexpected, or a quick check-in. Our goal is to make your time here smooth, stress-free, and as comfortable as possible.
Guest Rental Agreement, Security Deposit, & ID Verification
All guests must complete a Guest Rental Agreement, ID verification, and Security Deposit before receiving arrival instructions.
Security Deposit Options:
Refundable $1,500 security hold (a pending transaction, not a traditional deposit)
Non-refundable damage waiver alternative ($50 for up to 10 nights, plus $3 per additional night beyond 10)
We understand that security deposits can feel like an added hassle, so the waiver option provides peace of mind for both you and us, covering common accidental damages—such as a spilled drink or broken dish—without requiring a large hold.
To make this process easy, we use Happy Guest, a secure, app-free platform. You don’t need to sign up for an account—it’s simply a safe website that also gives you a guest portal with home details and curated local recommendations.
House Rules:
- Unauthorized pets will result in a $250 per-pet fee.
- No smoking or vaping. This is strictly a smoke-free property. A $1,000 cleaning fee will be charged for violations.
- Noise Policy: Please respect quiet hours from 10 PM – 8 AM. This is a peaceful, scenic area, and we ask guests to be considerate of the neighborhood.
Weather Notice
Louisiana weather can be unpredictable. While we do our best to prepare, we cannot be held responsible for delays, power outages, storms, or other unforeseen events outside our control. Refunds will not be issued for weather-related events, utility interruptions, or other circumstances beyond our influence. We recommend purchasing travel insurance for added peace of mind.
