"I have used this hotel a number of times before; the staff is by far the most helpful and obliging stuff I have ever encountered at any hotels throughout my extensive travels. Rooms are extremely high-tech and take some getting used to: shower is an odd aquarium-like transparent contraption in the middle of the room (not for everyone). Play is also not separate from the seating space and is in another transparent ‘aquarium’."

"I was disappointed with the first room we were allocated as one of the blinds had got stuck at the top of the window. The electric socket housing came loose from the wall and there were two mirrors above the bed that were not fixed safely. The wallpaper was not hung by a competent decorator and had not been finished to a good standard. Clothes storage was minimal a 75cm wide recess in the wall painted in a mustard colour. No cups or mugs in the room only glasses for drinking hot beverages from. I did go to reception and the staff arranged for an upgrade to a much larger room which was satisfactory for our 3 night stay. The reception staff said the hotel was a boutique hotel. I think they need to work a little harder on the design of the rooms I saw. The reception area was pleasant though. Conveniently situated for museums, bars and restaurants and a good , pleasant 25 minute walk to Central Amsterdam."
