The property is a bit tired. Very low ceiling beams in our room (at 6'2" I could stand upright at all). Free-standing bath that was unstable and constantly dripping taps.

On arrival we was asked to fill in a form which included our personal information this was left in the hallway as we stepped in the front door.We waited for someone to show us our room, on entry to the room we was offered a welcoming drink, The room wasn't what i expected due to the dust and dirt and old worn-out furniture .Windows with cobwebs and dirty ,Broken blinds, Fire place was covered in dust from the fire which must have been left for weeks due to the weather. Ornaments filled the walls and all around the room wasn't cleaned completely dusty. The chairs that sat in the room wasn't safe the legs were nearly off , the cover of the arms had holes in. There is a beautiful bath in the room, but not useful due to no place to put toiletries or towels. Dressing table was in the darker side of the room, no lights too be able to see to do make-up, nor no plugs for hairdryer, i really didn't expect to have to sit on the floor to do the above mentioned. The bathroom, was truly awful for hygiene reasons, who wants to use glasses that are sat on a shelf in line with the toilet.The bed itself was very comfortable and clean linen. Room service wasn't quite what we expected, the welcome drinks glasses were still sat in the room on Monday even though they staff been in the room to place the breakfast menu. No serving was given.Breakfast was good selection. dining room wasn't good, you sat in line alongside the other guests, table and chairs don't fit unless you sit at an angle.

Clean and food lovely
Check in was exactly 4pm and not a minute before, especially if you wanted to get a parking space outside of the place, and you arrived there earlier. Some places we've visited have let us book in slightly earlier. You paid for the accommodation straight away on arrival, instead of when you check out as normal. Bed was comfortable and room was clean, but could have done with a lick of paint, and sofa in room and other bits of furniture were looking well worn. Apart from that, breakfast was lovely, and owner was very accommodating. Brand name toiletries, biscuits, tea/coffee, and an alcoholic drink on arrival.

Richmond stay
Found the owner very pleasant and helpful. On arrival we got a free drink, breakfast was excellent. Accommodation clean and comfortable. He recommended a great place for our evening meal, which was across from B&B. Also B&B was about 100yds from town centre. Would stay again if we went to Richmond.

Friendly, efficient staff. The welcome drink on arrival as a nice touch. Large spacious room. Loved the roll topped bath. Good quality breakfast served by welcoming staff. Will definitely return.

Location in centre of Richmond. Stayed in 1st floor Richmond suite which was very spacious, full of character and very comfortable. Minor hiccup no milk provided- soon rectified. The shower handle in this room handle needs repair. Super bath and comfy 4 poster bed. very romantic. TIP: Do not have window open on a weds night as thursday morning the very noisy bin men arrive at 6.45am. Breakfast lovely, although we were a little uncomfortable in the allocated richmond table by the snugs window which was quite squashed. As new visitors to Richmond we were confused with parking in this town. You must use a free 2 hour parking disc available from most shops or the B&B to park near the B&B. If you are arriving early and exploring town i'd advise parking in a pay and display carpark and move car later nearer the B&B. Owners really helped us with our particular needs and we were grateful).

This hotel is an absolute find! It really could not have been better. Exceptionally clean, warm welcome, you feel very 'looked after' by Nigel and his Team but in an unobtrusive way. Little touches like really good quality toiletries and a large bottle of water in the room all come together to make for a 5 star plus stay. Is superbly situated in Richmond Town Centre. Highly recommended.

We only stayed one night but was very impressed with everything. We had a good nights sleep and a beautiful breakfast of our choice, we was not rushed and checked out at a reasonable time 10am. We also had an evening stroll around the castle that was practically next door. Plenty of places to eat and If you fancy fish and chips there’s one near by. Lots of history and beautiful scenery. Would recommend and would stay again.

The most ‘welcoming’ of welcomes.
A very friendly welcome when I arrived and I got a car parking disc loaned so I could park outside the hotel. A very comfortable bed and room, and considering it was a Saturday evening it was quiet too. The owner kindly gave me an early breakfast on Sunday before I left for work. If I could give 11/10 I would. 😀

Stayed a few nights for family funeral. Check in was extremely courteous; we were helped with our bags to our room and offered a complimentary drink. The house is an old building so expected some quirks (our room was on a slope but we are seasoned campers so that just added to the charm) Attention to detail was lovely. Plenty of YORKSHIRE tea and milk on hospitslity tray and this was reenished next day. Chocolate provided for each guest and lovely L'Occitaine products in the bathroom. Breakfast was excellent. A sheet was provided the night before for you to select exactly what you wanted which made service reallly efficient and the breakfast room was laid up beautifully with white linen and crockery. The breakfast itself was delicious. Plentiful tea, delicious sausages, perfectly executed poached eggs (all other egg options also available) and the best breakfast tomatoes I have ever tasted. All in all a lovely stay - would definitely use again and recommend.

😍 Romantic getaway 😍
Great boutique B&B, in central Richmond. On-street parking right outside. Walking distance to shops, pubs and restaurants. Tastefully decorated within, the staff were friendly, helpful and professional. Our room was super-comfy. Breakfast was tasty and filling! Would recommend.

Yes it is a very old Georgian town house, a beautiful and very quirky home that most people absolutely love the uneven doors and floors :) I am here from 7am in the morning until 7pm at night so always about, can't say that's not about much? Not quite sure what you expected but I seem to remember you arrived later than the normal check-in time and left after I'd chatted to you at breakfast!
