Cockroaches in the room. They switch us to a different room and there was still cockroaches in the new room. And they say they will reimburse me back $106.00 and still don’t see the refund yet.

The first room that I was given was infested with fleas. They did give me another room, but I was very wary after that. The hot water took forever to get warm and never made it to hot.

The hallways and room smelled horrible. Roaches in the room. Sofa filthy and sticky. Pull out sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable. Mattress was about 2 inches thick and felt every spring and metal from frame. Was unable to sleep on. We left after the first night of our stay, I didn’t even care that I lost money that I paid for the next night. Would never recommend

Overall, the property and room was fairly clean, but the first thing I found upon entering the restroom was a pubic hair on the toilet seat and no hot water to wash my hands. There was hot water for the shower though. The room was spacious, but lacked amenities like USB chargers and in-room coffee accouterments. Complimentary “grab & go breakfast” was served in the morning and at 7AM all I found was 1 granola bar, 3 packages of instant oatmeal, coffee & hot water. If you’re looking for a basic and budget-friendly hotel, you will be very pleased. The area is off of a main road and is very quiet and the landscaping looks nice and well-maintained. There is a small terrace with outdoor seating and barbecues available as well.

I arrived to Extended Stay America Suites around 5:30. When I gave the clerk my name, she told me to wait, she had to talk to her manager. The clerk came back to the office in about 10 minutes and told me that there was a problem with the room and the door could not open. I asked to another room and she stated that there were no more rooms. You think the door would have been repaired earlier in the day. I ask for a refund which I hope to receive soon. After a long hard day driving, I had to return home. I do not recommend this property.

First off the receptionist was lovely, there was no issue with service. Within an hour of being in our room we found six cockroaches. We asked to be transferred but there were no other rooms so we were given a refund

Kitchen light didn’t work, sticky dirty floor beside the bed, bugs smushed against the wall. The staff said they didn’t have any available rooms for me to switch and offered me a $20 discount. I couldn’t find anything else somewhere else because other hotels around was booked. I will never go back there

Valentine's Day Not Good
We decided to make our Valentine's day over the weekend instead on the day of because we wear to busy that day. Well when we got there, the first thing we noticed was the oven not working because it was hanging off the hinges and it was unplugged. We were going to cook. The fire alarm was in the drawer. We called down to the office and they said that a repair man would be up to fix the oven. We waited. And waited. I don't know if the oven has been fixed yet or not. Because my honey connected the owner of the hotel and we got moved, to a better room. I am sorry but we didn't get any pics, it was our Valentine's Day.

One of the worst hotel experiences. Elevator light out, rode up in pitch dark. Security doors not working so anyone can roam the halls (it is an extended stay). Smelled, filthy, drug activity on the property. Awful.

Well had trouble with checking in. Had to call hotels. Com to take care of my issue. Then little noisy outside around 1230 am. Then we had a little fire alarm issue. Not their fault. But I have stayed here a few times and it just doesn't feel secure to me.

DON'T STAY HERE
I walked into the first room they gave me (after going up to my floor in a completely dark elevator - no lights) and saw 2 bare mattresses, one on the bed and one half on a desk, half on the floor. The air conditioning unit was in the bathtub. Cleaning supplies were everywhere. Also, I was told to use my room key to get into the building but when I apporached the door 2 residents who'd obviously been there awhile said "It's not locked," and it wasn't at any time during my stay. So much for the security of a locked building. When I reached the 2nd room they gave me the door was ajar, and when I entered I could see why - it wasn't centered in the doorway. There was a half-inch gap between the door and the top hinges. I had to push forcefully against the top of the door for it to close properly. In the hallway you could smell food cooking. In my room I could smell smoke, I guess from the smoking units (not sure where they were). Once in the room it wasn't too bad. It was bare bones but spacious and pretty clean. No shampoo in the bathroom, just a couple of small bars of soap. Given the above, I'd say the room rate for this hotel is twice what it should be.

Entering the room the floors had an oily application that made them very slick. During the stay we noticed there were no kitchen utensils, plates, cups, paper towels... There was no coffee maker and no hair dryer. This room was stripped of everything but the basics.

Unprofessional nightmare
We did not stay at this hotel because we didn’t have a room due to no A/C and there were no other rooms. We were not notified before arriving. The hotel didn’t make an effort to help us find another place to stay. Let me make one thing very clear….this was NOT hotels.com’s fault! The fault falls directly on the hotel. Hotels.com was amazing at helping us find another hotel in Richmond, Va. It was more expensive, but we paid the same amount as the original hotel and hotels.com paid the difference. Without their help, I don’t know what we would have done.

The room was not cleaned the day of check-in. Food was left in refrigerator, no fresh bedding. Saturday saw a roach and some other kind of bug. The room was not clean until Saturday with fresh towels, clean bedding and wiped furniture. Poor management skills. I would not recommend this hotel nor stay here anymore. We were driving in from NY, PA to VA for a funeral. Holiday weekend traffic put us behind so we called the hotel to confirm we were still coming. The person we spoke to had our names and confirmed stating "You're good!:)". We got there at 2AM but the lobby was locked and the lights were off. We used the night phone to alert someone we had arrived only to be told their computer system was running an audit and our bookings would be cancelled. WHAT?? REALLY?? At 2 AM and 6 hours from home we have no where to go. After the clerk showed herself she still would not let us in stating that we were yelling indicating we were a threat. Suddenly we were acutely aware that we were far from NY and race relations may be different in this confederate state. We tried to rebook the trip as the clerk advised us to but the hotel came up ALL SOLD OUT. Either they gave our rooms away or our key cards were on the desk and she didn't check. Plus they charged my credit card for the entire trip anyway. All day on the phone with Amex and Expedia.com. Never again. :(

Not one to leave bad reviews but this was not a pleasant stay. I had seen the brand before and was a great price in a convenient location I thought I would be ok but regretted that decision as soon as we checked in. We had 8 people in out group so had two rooms, one which had obviously been used by smokers previously and had hardwood floors that were sticky, the other with carpeted floors and an overpowering smell of cat urine. We opened up the fold out couch which had the previous tenants soiled bedding on it, which, after removed, revealed a stained mattress. The trim around the interior of the doors and n the bathrooms was all scratched, obviously by pets who had been left inside. The sidewalk around the property had fecal material on it in several locations. We were there one night and was one night too many. The area seems safe and nice with lots of shops and places to walk although mostly quiet on the weekends. This place is obviously geared for longer term tenants who would be willing to put some time into cleaning their own space but we will avoid this brand in the future.

It was quiet and clean enough. I didn’t like I couldn’t find the entrance to the lobby and it looked like an apartment complex instead of a hotel/motel

Spacious but had roaches
The place was spacious and reasonably comfy especially for the price. The cleanliness was not good. My room looked like it hadn't seen a deep clean in years if ever. There was also cockroaches in my rooms bathroom.
