We had a beautiful time at this home that has so much to offer including an idyllic meadow and trail by the river, comfortable furniture, well equipped kitchen, and ping-pong table.

The view was amazing and the hot tub was a plus. We enjoyed the outside fireplace where we gathered and roasted marshmallows. Herminia was great and promptly answered a question I had. Amazing Mountain Getaway!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great time. Went for a relaxing mountain getaway and this place delivered! The views of the wildflowers and foothills out the living room windows are wonderful. The house was clean and well stocked. You are close enough to restaurants and a store but far enough away to really feel like you are in the forest. Our dogs loved walking the trail and going down to the river. We would definitely stay again. Also, the management was fantastic.

Felt the Magic!

The home, property, and environs exceeded expectations. We met up from across the country for a mini-family reunion, and the stay checked every box we’d anticipated and some unexpected, magical ones as well. There’s nothing like witnessing spring unfolding in the Mt. Hood area, and this place helped us make lasting memories close the heart of each generation present. Paradise and beyond

Reviewer Comments: The property is pure perfection (especially if you aren't worried about sending and receiving calls, or watching non-stop television - this is a little weak, but due in no part to the amazing property... it's purely location). We contemplated how we could stay forever. The views and silence are peaceful and breath taking. The crew at the rental agency was fantastic.

Winter Wonderland

We really enjoyed our stay at Big Buck Lodge. This is the prefect place for a weekend getaway where you have plenty of space on a beautfiul property. The house was clean and the accomodations were nice making the weekend very enjoyable. I would recommend a stay here for a ski weekend or in the summer a place to get out and explore Mt. Hood which is right in your backyard.It seems like there is so much to do in this area and it is nice to have a lodge like this as your homebase surrounded by the mountains, nearby river and woods. Also, very quiet area so a great place to getaway and relax. We will definitely be heading back the next time we are looking for a long weekend stay in this area.

Family Summer Vacation to Mt Hood

We had an amazing stay at Big Buck Lodge! The home and location was ideal for our family.. the home was welcoming and cozy; the property was serene and the ease of location to the many of Mt Hoods trails, restaurants, shopping, etc! We hope to return to Big Buck Lodge during the winter months!

Awesome stay

Highly recommend this beautiful home. The kitchen is well appointed with basic herbs and spices and great pots and pans for cooking. The outdoor gazebo is a plus for hanging out with friends. Can’t wait to come back.

wonderful place, outstanding location

Our family and dog enjoyed a nice winter weekend at this gorgeous and comfortable property. The sandy river is essentially in the backyard and there is a beautiful trail running along the river that is accessible from the back yard. We hope to come back soon.

Excellent place

Wonderful place all around. Well cared for and excellent service from management company. The stereo that is listed is not accessible so recommend bringing a bluetooth speaker or check with management. They ended up driving out a couple small bluetooth speakers to make it right. Highly recommend this place.

Don't Go Here - Save it for us :)

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved this house and we loved our time with our family here. The space was perfect where we could spread out just a bit, but also be together a lot. It felt very isolated and private, but also was just a little drive back to the store if need be. The views of the hills from the house are stunning all throughout the day. The access to the trails and river was great. We had deer out the window and could hear owls hooting from the hot tub. Check in was very easy and the property management was friendly and helpful. Perfect size for 7-8 people. I didn't notice anything that wasn't clean when arriving and kitchen was well appointed. The outdoor fireplace is so much better than a firepit because the smoke isn't chasing you around the circle the whole time - and there was plenty of wood. The only issues we had was the door of the bonus fridge in the garage was wonky and we kinda were hoping for a dvd player for some of the movies that were provided - very small issues in light of how much much we enjoyed this house! Would definitely stay here again!!

Beautiful Cabin Found Lacking

We searched a LONG time for the right place for our anniversary trip to the Mt Hood area. We loved the way the house looked online, and we were excited to experience it. From the check in day onward though, it just wasn't what we expected for the cost. The keys weren't left as we were told they would be. When we left messages hoping to hear back immediately, it took over an hour and a half to hear anything. We had gone to get dinner 5 minutes away, and had HOPED the company would bring us the keys. Instead, we had to backtrack to get them after dinner. We arrived to house, and the gate wasn't open. We had to climb around gate to get into house to use WiFi to call (as there was no cell service). At first, we thought we had wrong keys, as the keys didn't work at front door. Wish there had been explanation keys are for garage door, not front door. Someone did come open gate, which was appreciated. FYI - fan in master bedroom grinds when on and is useless (we are fan people so disappointed there too!). I think this place could have been so much better if it had felt like it was WORTH the added cost I spent. In future, I will question the need to spend more when it didn't get us anything but frustration.

Peaceful Cabin

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: What a beautiful setting! The view out the main windows and off the back deck are incredible! The hot tub was a great addition. There is also a hiking trail in the back yard that can lead you to the river within a short walking distance. There were a few cons: -the house was very dark with very dim light bulbs-it looked like the landscaping around the whole house hasn't been touched in a VERY long time. We had to knock down weeds to enjoy the back patio. -there are a few chairs under the covered, outdoor fireplace area but not any other furniture outside. That's where we wanted to be! -the ping pong table should be thrown away. It looks like someone landed on it
