"Rooms were clean. The staff were helpful. However if you reserve a balcony room or are on the second floor there is no elevator at this hotel. The staff was very accommodating and settled us in a nice room on the ground floor. The continental breakfast is limited. Waffles, oatmeal packs and packaged breakfast bars is pretty much it. No eggs, meats or variety of fruits."

"My trip to the cabin was a peaceful and a great experience. The host was friendly and I felt safe while visiting. The kitchen was equipped for cooking and we enjoyed sitting on the porch. If you are looking to relax and get away from the loud city life this is a good spot. My tiny dog enjoyed the property and we'll be back for another stay."

"This is a great little cabin that my wife and I really enjoyed during our few nights in the area. The property is very private and quiet, so it was very peaceful when we were there in the evenings after a long day. The host is great and was very easy to communicate with through the vrbo app during our stay. Thanks, for being a great host, Joe!"

"We love Lake Haven!! My husband and I have been coming here for about 3years now and it just keeps getting better! Nice to see the improvements to the deck with new furniture as well. The most comfortable bed makes this place feel like our home away from home!"

"House was clean and fresh. Boat dock good condition. Ramp was good but a little narrow so be careful. Next door neighbor doesn't like his grass touched and he will holler at you if you do. Property is great for fishing or relaxing and is pet friendly."

"The house didn't have as many beds as advertised. There were only 4 Beach Towels with 11 guests staying there. Didn't have sheets for the Pull-out Couch and didn't have enough pillowcases, blankets, or regular towels. When I am renting a house for 12 people I expect to have enough towels, sheets and pillowcases for everyone. Had trouble with the dishwasher and kitchen light, the dishwasher issue was resolved, however didn't have any kitchen light for the last 3 days of my stay."

"This is a GREAT property with a FANTASTIC host! My siblings and I (ranging in ages 56-65) get together once a year, and this year we selected this home for our reunion. We weren't disappointed.A few notes for those using this review to decide if this property is right for them:1. The house sits next door to the host's home, so if you're looking for a place without neighbors, this might not work for you. 2. The home has a giant back yard that abuts the lake. There is a large fire pit between the home and the lake. If you plan to use it, I recommend buying pre-split logs to burn.3. On the main floor, there are two bedrooms - one with a private bath. The remaining beds, including one private bedroom, are located downstairs. The stairs to the downstairs are VERY steep. If you have mobility issues, you can access the downstairs from outside.4. The kitchen, dining, and living room area is open concept - perfect for cooking and hanging out together.5. Decatur, with grocery shopping (Piggly Wiggly), bowling, etc. is about 20 minutes away. Mini-golf is in Athens, about 30 minutes away.6. The main t.v. is mounted over a fireplace, and so connecting HDMI (X-Box, laptop, etc.) can be a challenge for shorter people.7. The home is on a septic system, so no wet-wipes! 8. The large covered deck at the rear of the house is perfect for sitting and drinking coffee. There is lots of seating out there.9. We didn't use the pool or hot tub.Bottom line - a great place at a fair price!"

"The home is everything we hoped it would be for our family gathering. Everyone enjoyed the relaxing evenings on the back porch watching the sunset. So much so, 3 out of 4 fell asleep out there! Plenty or rooms and space 9 people. Kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need. Scott had fantastic communication with us before and during our stay. If you're looking for a lovely home by the lake and enjoy peace and quiet, surrounded by the sights and sounds of nature, this is the home you need to rent!! 10/10!!!"
