Very nice rooms (no guest kitchen or lounge) - clean and modern. There are several guest houses in a cluster, 2 restaurants and nothing else nearby. We had dinner there, which was okay (home style cooking). The landscape around the house was spectacular.

Rooms were clean and the views were spectacular. Very friendly staff and the restaurant on premises was terrific. Only thing I have to add was that we were in the main house on first floor. The doors are heavy and make a lot of noise on closing so if you are going to sleep early( which most people do), people that arrive late and drag suitcases and slam doors (in other words, they are not cognizant that people are asleep), you can hear everything. Other than that, it was great.

This was a nice place to stay. Super convenient location. Was crowded and the staff seemed a bit overwhelmed. Only amenity that we really missed was the ability to make coffee in our own room. It was very expensive when we stayed there and so I would have expected better room amenities, but this area is one of the most popular in Iceland and there are not that many options!! I was a bit worried after reading some of the reviews online, but none of the issues raised by people in the poorer reviews materialized for us!!

The room I stayed in was clean and so was the bathroom. It was definitely worth the price. That said, the breakfast being an additional thing to pay for was way overpriced for what was available.

Lovely little cottage hotel. Perfect for our family of 5, we each had our own bed. Its in a quiet location, which we enjoyed. There aren't many food options, so keep that in mind. But overall, our stay here was great. This was a convenient place just a 15 minute ride to the Jokulsarlon lagoon, where we started our glacier tour teh next day,

It's the cheapest one closest to Glacier Lagoon. They are doing construction right now. The dinner food was 5 star, the best part. The room, #18 was 2 star; pretty unattractive, no decor. It's 2026, felt like 1956.Our friends had one of the new cabins which was pretty nice inside. The shower water pressure was about 5 psi, pretty disappointed.

This is a nice guesthouse with separate duplexes. The rooms are small and the sink in the bathroom is the smallest sink I have ever seen. Good water pressure and hot water. The room is heated by an electric heater and it was pretty hot. It’s fine for one night. Parking is easy. Staff were pleasant. Dinner was good but pretty expensive.

Had all the basic necessities and the room, while small, was comfortable. The WiFi was inconsistent at times. The $24 breakfast could have been much better, especially for the price. Unfortunately, there are not many other food options nearby in the morning. The museum café up the road does make good food though, and I would recommend having dinner there..

Quirky little guest house. Staff was helpful. Parking adequate. Very remote area so if you need groceries or ice, make sure you are prepared in advance. Breakfast was a typical Icelandic spread( sliced cheese, meat, veggies, fruit and porridge/cereal). Very remote… no TV or fridge

Very basic small hotel room. Not much space to put carry on luggage. It would be nice to have at least a mini fridge since there are no stores close, restaurants are expensive so I could put a couple of groceries for next day travel. We had dinner in the restaurant since there is nothing else really close by. It was pretty good. The shower curtain and towels were worn out a bit. Loved watching the sheep outside the window and free coffee/tea in reception area. We didn’t want to pay $24 a person for breakfast but it looked pretty good.

We stayed in one of their new cabins and it was well above my expectations. Super clean and warm room, friendly staff and the food from the restaurant was amazing as well. Area is super quiet and can give you a good view of the northern lights if they are out. Would stay here again.
