At the White House

"The property was amazing! Quiet...2 blocks from the main street. The rooms have been nicely updated. Very happy. Only a few suggestions. We had 3 in the room. I slept on the single bed, which was a bit too firm. As I realize these businesses have to survive on only a few months of income, when able, please reassess the pillows. Being upstairs...the room did get warm (no A/C) but the windows open and there is a fan. The coffee maker and fridge were appreciated.The stairs are a bit shallow compared to newer homes, but everything looks clean. Also, though a nice view from the windows...they really required a cleaning...again...maintenance may be hard to support for such a short season. The lady at the desk was very helpful and friendly, but perhaps slow things down a smidgen...🙂 We would definitely return."

"Love the ambiance of the Historic Skagway Inn was wonderful. The staff at the front desk was very friendly and took me to my room and explained everything. Breakfast was simple, but good. One thing to note. This is a former Brothel, and bathrooms are shared. There approximately 8 rooms and 2 full bathrooms upstairs and a 2-piece downstairs. There was no issue with availability when we needed to use it."

"This, like all others in Haines, was an older / seasonal hotel. Didn't have a lot of ammenities, but the manager was very pleasant and helpful. Gave good instructions and suggestions/ recommendations. Like all older buildings, there were things in need of repair, but none that affected our stay there."
