Rangiora Museum

The host was very welcoming, room was clean and tidy, with all the amenities we needed for our stay. Nice quiet location with good off street parking. Very handy to nearby supermarket and within a close proximity to the places we went to.

The first thing when I walked into the room was the smell, the moldy smell with the very dirty carpet made me feel anxious and I was scared that the bed was going to be just as bad. The wall had a loose flap hanging and the shower was definitely not clean. I couldn't sleep because of the constant noise and people talking. I will think twice before I book a room again.

I stayed in the Lakeside Villa. Filled up one of the bathtubs, could clearly see soap scum floating on the surface. The other bathtub was clean. The TV in one of the bedrooms had faulty speakers and could only broadcast static. One of the bedrooms was really noisy at night, couldn't identify the sound, but we had to all bunk into a single bedroom because of that. However, the hotel staff was exceptional. We were offered a change or rooms, but we were only there for 2 nights and were exhausted, so we opted to remain. So we were given breakfast for the 2 days that we were there. The view was lovely, and the rest of the amenities within the room was good. The place was very spacious, and other than the bathtub, everything else was clean.
