Beautiful 3BR 1.5BA house with high quality foam mattresses, large yard and FAST internet. Perfect for dogs and long term stays. 1mi from Duke University, 1mi from Duke Law school. Very close to: RTP, UNC, Duke Hospital and downtown Durham. Washer and dryer make this location ideal for long term stays. House is at the end of a cul-de-sac, allowing extra parking, space and privacy for some noise. Large private yard (no fence) Pets are allowed with non-refundable deposit, for cats add $250 refundable deposit.

- High Quality Sheets! What’s the point of having an awesome mattress without having soft, comfy sheets? Our units boast 100% Organic cotton cooling percale weave and soft breathable bed sheets and pillow cases. Lay down, slip into them and enjoy how fresh and comfortable they are.

Close to trails and downtown

Great place to base out of for visiting family in Durham. As a trail runner, I also appreciated being within a 5-10 minute drive to trails in Duke Forest. Trails also good for dog walking. Home clean and maintained. Would stay again.

Disappointing Quality

Pictures don’t accurately reflect reality of property. Very dated property and shows. Grounds not kept well with garbage overflowing as we pulled in. Broken blinds. Water quality, pressure specifically, was HORRIBLE!! Almost impossible to take a quality shower with barely more than a light sprinkle!

Property manager was nice. Got to the house and heat was not working. Sent blankets and space heaters over and luckily maintenance person. Got heat fixed within in an hour or two.

Cancelled on the day of arrival, reason given was that it was already booked.

VRBO and owner need to work better to manage the property so it is not double booked. Reservation made three weeks in advance, payment made, and confirmation received the day before arrival. Email cancellation received at 10am on the day or arrival. Family of 6 had to make other arrangements.

Comfortable stay

I stayed with my family of two young kids and my elderly visiting parents. Although the property is kind of dated it is very comfortable and conveniently located. We really enjoyed our stay and hosts are very responsive over email. Duke university is a short drive away and the home is ideal for campus visits.

Good value for the money

We chose this property because it was affordable, and it was a good value for the money. It is nothing fancy, and you need to bring anything you need in terms of food. (There was no salt and pepper, olive oil, etc, as there sometimes is at these places. ) The check-in info was never posted to the site, so we had to message the host. That said, the property is perfectly adequate, and the host was very responsive to our questions.
