I've stayed here a few times. It's a good location to walk to the mall if you can handle hills. It is generally pretty noisy. You can hear every knock and bump from housekeeping all day, especially on Monday. They're doing renos as of Aug '26. But I don't get how one carpet had to be at 630 am right at the elevator next to my room. Guess someone had an accident.

The location was great for my needs. However, the property is very old, needs updating. Water stains and rusty equipment in the fitness center. There was hair in the shower and on the bathroom floor upon my arrival. Hallway was humid with a musty smell. I will stay elsewhere during my next visit to Raleigh.

Staff was very friendly and helpful and breakfast was great. Unfortunately the room had water damage so the wallpaper was peeling off. Many of our outlets were not usable. the bathroom’s exhaust fan was not working. Our phone was not working. Laundry room was dirty and one of the two dryers was not working. The pool had way too much chlorine, the fumes made it hard to breathe in the enclosed pool area. Me and my family had used this hotel a few years ago and since then it has really gone downhill.

I hosted my family reunion this year and this was the host property. The staff were very warm and friendly with everyone. They never hesitated to help with any questions. From the sales department, breakfast staff, maintenance, and front desk they were all ready to help me carry things, hold things, and answer questions with a smile. Amazing experience that made hosting so much easier!
