The Olive Flat was imagined somewhere between the two: a little colour, a little music, plenty of sunlight, and the kind of rooms that invite you to stay longer than planned.

Morning coffee tastes better on the balcony. Afternoons have a habit of disappearing into the green salon. When evening arrives, someone is usually at the piano, and Mahaj Riad naturally begins to glow just below.

Nothing here was designed to feel too precious. Put your feet up, open a book, pour another coffee, make yourself at home, play something badly on the piano, with every detail designed for comfort, and a thought given to your little one as well.

Because luxury, at least the kind we believe in, is not about formality. It is simply the pleasure of feeling wonderfully at home, somewhere away from home.

You may be accommodated in the apartment as two adult guests, provided that both individuals are properly declared on the reservation and present the required identification documents in accordance with Article 37 of Law No. 80-14 relating to tourist accommodation establishments and other forms of tourist accommodation.

At the same time, Article 24 of the Constitution of the Kingdom of Morocco guarantees every person the right to the protection of their private life. Accordingly, our role as hosts is limited to providing accommodation, verifying the identity of guests where legally required, and ensuring compliance with the rules applicable to the property and the residence.

Acceptance of your reservation must not, however, be interpreted as authorisation, approval, endorsement, or facilitation of any conduct prohibited under Moroccan law.

In particular, please note that Article 490 of the Moroccan Penal Code, which remains in force, provides criminal penalties for sexual relations between two persons of the opposite sex who are not married to one another. Each guest remains individually responsible for complying with this provision and, more generally, with all applicable Moroccan laws throughout their stay.

For our part, the apartment is provided exclusively for lawful accommodation purposes. We do not knowingly authorise, encourage, assist, or facilitate any unlawful activity.

This distinction is particularly important in light of Article 129 of the Moroccan Penal Code, which defines complicity as including, among other circumstances, knowingly providing a means intended to be used in the commission of an offence or knowingly assisting in its preparation or facilitation. Article 133 further provides that, as a general principle, crimes and offences are punishable only when committed intentionally.

Likewise, any form of prostitution, solicitation, intermediation, or commercial sexual activity is strictly prohibited within the apartment. Article 498 of the Moroccan Penal Code notably provides penalties for knowingly assisting, facilitating, or protecting the prostitution of another person.

Accordingly, we simply ask that the following rules be respected throughout your stay:

• Both persons staying overnight must be declared on the reservation and identified whenever required by law or applicable accommodation procedures.
• No undeclared guest may stay overnight in the apartment.
• Parties and events are not permitted.
• The peace and comfort of neighbours and other residents must be respected at all times.
• No activity contrary to Moroccan law is permitted within the apartment.

Subject to compliance with these conditions, you are very welcome at The Olive Flat, and we will be pleased to host you during your stay in Rabat.

Vous pouvez être accueillis dans l’appartement en qualité de deux voyageurs adultes, à condition que les deux personnes soient correctement déclarées sur la réservation et présentent les pièces d’identité requises conformément a ’article 37 de la loi n°80-14 relative aux établissements touristiques et aux autres formes d’hébergement touristique.

Par ailleurs, l’article 24 de la Constitution du Royaume du Maroc garantit à toute personne le droit à la protection de sa vie privée. Notre rôle d’hôte est donc limité à l’hébergement, à l’identification des voyageurs lorsque celle-ci est requise, ainsi qu’au respect des règles applicables au logement et à la résidence.

Cette acceptation de votre réservation ne constitue toutefois en aucun cas une autorisation, une approbation ou une facilitation d’un comportement interdit par la législation marocaine. Nous vous rappelons notamment que l’article 490 du Code pénal marocain, qui demeure en vigueur, réprime les relations sexuelles entre deux personnes de sexe différent qui ne sont pas unies par les liens du mariage. Chaque voyageur demeure personnellement responsable du respect de cette disposition et, plus généralement, de l’ensemble de la législation marocaine pendant son séjour.

De notre côté, le logement vous est fourni exclusivement à des fins d’hébergement licite. Nous n’autorisons, n'encourageons et ne facilitons sciemment aucune infraction. Cette précision est notamment importante au regard de l’article 129 du Code pénal, qui définit la complicité notamment par la fourniture consciente d’un moyen destiné à servir à une infraction ou par l’aide apportée, en connaissance de cause, à sa préparation ou à sa facilitation. L’article 133 précise par ailleurs que les crimes et délits ne sont en principe punissables que lorsqu’ils sont commis intentionnellement.

De même, toute forme de prostitution, de racolage, d’intermédiation ou d’activité sexuelle commerciale est strictement interdite dans le logement. L’article 498 du Code pénal sanctionne notamment le fait d’aider, d’assister ou de protéger sciemment la prostitution d’autrui.

En conséquence, nous vous demandons simplement de respecter les règles suivantes pendant votre séjour : les deux personnes passant la nuit doivent être déclarées sur la réservation et identifiées lorsque cela est requis ; aucun invité non déclaré ne peut passer la nuit ; aucune fête ni aucun événement ne sont autorisés ; le calme et le voisinage doivent être respectés ; et aucune activité contraire à la législation marocaine n’est autorisée dans l’appartement.
