"I can highly recommend the house and the super friendly welcome by the owners. The cottage is cosy and very well equipped, there is a covered summer kitchen in the courtyard and lovely sunbathing areas on the lawn. Everything is well kept and clean. The house is secluded in the middle of fields, olive groves and vineyards. You can take beautiful walks directly from the house. The very little frequented motorway is easy to reach and you can easily get to other places: e.g. to the many castle...

"Our stay at Casa de Malhões was fantastic. The home was clean, spacious, and fully equipped with everything we could possibly need — from a well-stocked kitchen with coffee to an outdoor BBQ area complete with dishes and a sink. The hosts were friendly and very accommodating with our check-in and check-out times, which we truly appreciated. Our kids (2 & 5) loved the small pool — just the right size for a young family. The outdoor space was perfect for gathering and relaxing, though we’d recommend bringing bug spray for the evenings. We only wish we had more time — we would have loved to stay longer! Another thing worth noting is that its off the beaten path - so be prepared to drive down a dirt road and to be 'away' from any neighbours. The drive is well lit and there is cell phone reception at all times so its not so obscure that your off the grid, but it is far enough inland that your in a private space. "

"I recently stayed at this hotel and, unfortunately, it wasn’t the most comfortable experience. The room itself was just okay—basic but functional. However, it didn’t feel very clean. There was an awful smell in the room that never went away. There were visible marks on the walls, a stale smell, and the bathroom could definitely use a more thorough scrubbing. What really put me off, though, was the general atmosphere. Some of the other guests seemed… off. A few were lingering in the hallways at odd hours, and there were loud conversations late at night right outside my room. I didn’t feel unsafe, exactly, but I didn’t feel totally relaxed either. The staff was polite but not particularly attentive. I wouldn’t say this is the worst place I’ve ever stayed, but I probably wouldn’t return unless there were major improvements in both cleanliness and guest screening."
