Our group of nine (four adults, four children, one infant) loved our stay at Casa Serenidad. Jorge and Hazel, the in-stay and pre-visit concierges, were incredibly helpful and arranged airport transfers, activities, grocery delivery, and more. We arrived to a pack-n-play set up for our infant. The house was furnished with towels, staple board and card games, basic spices and kitchen supplies. Massive master, rest of the rooms and bathrooms are comfortable. Independent control of temp. in each room. Really enjoyed our stay and the area as a whole.
A few things that prospective visitors should know --
* Reviews mentioning the driveway are 100% accurate. You'll want a 4 wheel drive vehicle if you're not used to steep hills, and you'll need to walk to the base of the hill to meet cabs and scheduled rides for excursions. Cars and cabs will be necessary. Not an easy walk to town.
* The kitchen is fine, not amazing. Some oddly laid out drawers that don't open all the way. Pots and pans are low end, but within the expected range for a rental like this. It would be difficult to prepare daily meals for a group that maxes out the occupancy.
* The pool is beautiful but could be dangerous for some groups. Slick tiles around it. Our kids had a couple hard falls, then we got smart and laid towels down to create traction. Super deep, and you'll need to closely watch anyone who isn't a strong swimmer. Monkeys and birds were in the trees around the pool and a highlight of the visit.
