Excellent location; right at downtown area; easy to reach via various public transportations. Lots of great shopping and dining options. Free parking. Friendly and helpful staff. The electric kettle in the room is helpful and eco-friendly. The next step would be to include (more) water dispensers on each floor, an option that, according to the staff, is being seriously planned.

Love the hotel. especially the staff. The entrance and lobby are grand, and the front desk staff was so nice; not one, but two staff members came to open doors from our Uber with big, friendly smiles. All the staff are well-trained, very nice, and friendly. The restaurant is a must-go, and guests should definitely opt for the breakfast package. I have never seen so many options for an all-you-can-eat hotel breakfast. It is a full-scale restaurant, not a typical hotel breakfast, and you won't mind spending 2 hours there. The food quality is very good, and the restaurant staff work very hard to keep the tables clean and the food refilled. The hot spring experience is also amazing and very spacious. I personally like Taipei more, but I will go back to Taichung just because of Freshfields. I cannot wait to go back. Oh, I also loved my room, the in-room hot spring bathtubs, which was very spacious. The only thing I wish you could improve is to add a real, full-size computer desk, the bar style desk is too small, as I need a real desk to work. Otherwise, everything was perfect.
