Notified the property before I arrived that I was allergic to feathers/down and my room had 3 of 4 pillows with down. I asked for replacements but none available - finally received an additional down free pillow the next night. Nice hotel - poor management

Nice hotel with history! I like the theme of the hotel with Brown University, the room keys as Student IDs with some famous Brown Alumni. The decorations is warm and the cleanness of the room and public area is wonderful. 2 things though I don’t like : 1) no complimentary coffee which is offered by most of the modern hotels now 2) the parking garage has no direct access to the hotel, you have to get out of garage and cross the street then enter the back door of the hotel( sometimes the door not working) . This is not convenient especially if the weather is bad ( we got rain during the stay). I hope they can build a tunnel or over bridge to connect.

This resort is “modern vintage.” You can feel its history as it dates back to the 1920s. However, it does have a modern feel to it. Staff was great. Room was spotless. The nod to the local colleges adds a nice touch. Stay here if you’re coming to Providence.

It was too noisy around the neighborhood people yelling their lungs out!didn’t sleep well because of it otherwise the hotel is very convenient close to everything I like the aesthetic of the hotel feels like I’m in the 1900s

Great property. The room was big and quiet. The restaurant was fabulous and we were able to check in early. My only gripe was the elevators - they took forever and one morning we waited 10 mins and finally used the stairs because 4 had passed us with full cars. Not a deal breaker by anymeans but annoying with luggage when trying to leave.

The first room my bridal party and I got put in had a fridge that was broken and smelled horrible. Whoever did the finishing work like the wallpaper did a terrible job and the shades and windows were broken. You couldn’t open the windows because the sirens were blaring all night. The bathroom was tiny and the shower door opened into the shower which made no sense. They need to make updates and invest in a better carpenter!

The rooms are great! Nice size for a family of 4. Would definitely come back. Only issue was that check in was a challenge. Only one person was at front desk and was very slow and not cognizant of others waiting for her. Also, game room advertised charges $$$ for most of the games. This should be free to heavily discounted for guests. Coffee shop not open in afternoon.
