"This is the best place that I have ever stayed in. It’s truly magnificent. Historic, luxurious, serene and romantic. The staff were impeccable. The food was stunning. The grounds and amenities are second to none. Get a room in the main chateau if you can, they are absolutely fabulous. I cannot say enough great things about this property."

"Very pleasant stay and kind and serviceminded staff"

The owner was so welcoming, our room was large and comfortable, the breakfast was served in a nice room and the restaurant experience was superb - we had a delicious dinner outside on the terrace. "Great location in the centre of Oradour. Hotel itself is clean tidy yet simple. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again."

"I personally like the convenience and privacy of an ensuite, which is the only reason Trecastle doesn't get five stars all the way. That aside it's an excellent place to stay with lovely, friendly hosts and secure garage parking for my motorbike. I will return."

"We were on a cycle tour and we left our bikes locked up safely in the entrance way. Our room was very comfortable, we stayed in the Curiosities room. The hotel is in a characterful building and is thoughtfully decorated with great attention to detail. It was a shared bathroom, which we actually had to ourselves, again nicely decorated and clean. A pleasant nights sleep, and handily placed for all the amenities, cafe, restaurants. We had the breakfast in the salon on the ground floor which was...

"Great stay with friendly staff and a fantastic dinner "
