Portobello - Le Gallerie del Risparmio

I was overall a bit disappointed with my stay here and shocked that this was rated a 4* hotel. The rooms were very basic and the walls were so incredibly thin that you could hear everything. I was woken up at 7am every day by the staff in the hallway. The breakfast had little to no vegan options..they had one tray of fruit and veggies and that’s it. I could have went out for breakfast every day for cheaper if I would have known. Furthermore they asked for an exact time that I was to be at breakfast each morning which I found odd and hard to know the exact time I’d be eating each day. The gym was strangely in a sort of basement area down some stairs and required a separate key to get in that you have to ask the front desk for. The gym lacked a lot of basic equipment including mats and was very stuffy and not air conditioned well. Overall this property really fell flat for the price, huge disappointment.

Great hotel, bathroom was impeccable and modern, staff were really helpful and nice. Breakfast buffet was also really tasty and lots of options.

Breakfast was very good with nice choices , room was reliably clean. Air conditioner did not work well and reception staff had to reset the system more than once . I think hotel has to take further action to fix this problem considering the hotel cost and location . Considering the hot weather, it was difficult at certain moments.
